The staff was warm and welcoming and took our bags and sent us up to the roof, while waiting for our room. Beautiful views of the city. They ended up upgrading our room to a lovely spa suite. The bed was firm (like most European beds) but comfy and super quiet. It was just out of, but next to the historical center-an easy walk. We went to the rooftop at night, as well, and the staff was phenomenal -walking us through their favorite after dinner drinks and giving us tastings. We will absolutely stay here again, next time we are in Torino (and we plan to be back!)

There are no shampoo or hair conditioner but no matter, the mattress is firm, sheets are crisp and the AC in every room keeps the temperature at 18 degrees centigrade with near perfect silence from anywhere! The decor in the foyer is rich and chandeliers everywhere and the toilet at the lobby was all marbled with individual stalls and flowers galore. Do try. People are so friendly here.

I had a relatively large room, but some colleagues had small rooms and one had issues with her curtains continuing to billow overnight with the draft and they were approaching her bed apparently. She didn't seem really relaxed. My room, however, was perfectly nice, though the bed was very hard (didn't upset me, though as I slept great!). I had a little desk area and entry way with a closet, so plenty of room inside the room. I also had a deck looking out onto the garden (unfortunately I didn't get to see much of it since I was working and instead most of the time). The bathroom was large enough and clean (the entire room was spotless actually) and while I could have used a little more soap and shampoo, it was nicely appointed. There was some street noise (from the parking lot more so) that could be heard plainly and if someone was directly outside your room in the hall, you could hear that as well. However, overall, I didn't think there were any noise issues (oh wait - I take that back - one night a family stayed there and one of their kids was running in the halls, but I can't blame the hotel for that). Breakfast was decent - the typical meat and cheese and such with pastries and then eggs and either sausage or bacon daily. Coffee was good, but I did have to seek out someone to get coffee as it's not out and the service wasn't very helpful unless you went back to ask (or they happened to see you just entering). It tasted great, though! I also visited the bar and had dinner and lunch there. The bar was nice, and while it looks closed, they do staff it if you ask. Wine list was nice and I think they actually have their own vineyard and I tried one wine - quite good. However, dinner wasn't that great. We did the tasting menu one night (3 courses with wine) and I wasn't that impressed. The risotto was very undercooked (I love risotto, but super crunchy it should not be!) and my pork was very hard - almost impossible to cut through and very dry. Dessert was pretty good and the house wine was tasty. My sentiments were echoed by a number in our group. Lunch was better - aspargus ravioli with black truffle. Very good, though I wasn't expecting it to be drowning in cheese sauce on top. Flavor was spot on, but way too rich to finish. All in all, the hotel itself was nice, but I'd skip the dinner and go nearby instead.

This hotel, which was recently refurbished, is located in a beautiful former 19th-century mansion. We liked our room. It was clean and large and the bed was comfortable. I do have one suggestion if you plan to sleep in, don't forget to put the Do Not Disturb sign on your door. Otherwise, the cleaning staff will literally open the door while you are sleeping or continue to knock every 30 minutes or so to be able to get into the room to clean. Overall we enjoyed this hotel and would definitely stay there again.

It is very good value for money and tastefully designed with wings centred round a courtyard. The rooms are reasonably-sized with cheerfully tiled bathrooms and the whole place is kept spotless. Every time we have stayed there, it has been very thinly occupied, which means that you can often have the pleasant swimming pool to yourself. Adjoining it is a 9-hole golf course and superb restaurant (about one minute on foot). I think that they share business interests but are independent. As a hotel guest, you have visitor's rights to the golf club bar. The restaurant is again excellent value for money, although I feel that I have cheated myself by not exploring its entire possibilities. The thing is that with the local Piedmontese speciality antipasto - you just want to keep going back for more of the diverse glory on offer. As often, breakfast (amusingly called 'colazione' in Italian) is not much of a collation, although the coffee is, of course, first rate. However, if those orange melons are in season, it can become a real collation! If you want to visit Turin and wake up in the mountain air, it's a real special. Not all the staff speak English, but can usually find someone who does. For instance the manager of the restaurant, who very kindly introduced me to Italian coffee-flavoured cigars.

The room was huge and had beautiful details like crown molding, high-end materials and a walk-in closet. Equipped with robes, slippers and other luxuries we almost didn't want to leave the room. The hotel itself was really nice as well, and we almost felt like Kevin in Home Alone 2. The breakfast included an impressive selection of meats, cheeses, breads, etc. It's too bad we only had one night here! As for the area- we were able to walk to several nearby shops & restaurants. Parking was a breeze.

Great breakfast buffet each morning, nicely appointed and comfortable rooms, excellent showers. But, what sets this hotel apart is the service. All the staff are incredibly responsive and helpful. Parking is a breeze for only 25 euros. Just park outside the front door and your car is moved to a secure, private garage. If you will need again within the next couple of hours they will park in their interior courtyard. We used Turin as our base of operations, but on two occasions we left for two days (skiing at Courmayeur and bullet train to Rome). In both cases we didn't want to haul all of our luggage. No problem--they held our luggage until we returned. We enjoyed our time in Turin and will definitely come back. There's no question where we will stay--Grand Hotel Sitea!
