Their sign said closing at 9:00, and me and my family were not able to get dinner, we are a family with not a lot of money so our family had to go to sleep hungry. 0/5 stars would not go again.

You can't go wrong here... reasonable prices, huge portions, delicious food. I've tried the veggie sub, which was amazing and ginormous - and my new addiction is their white pizza (+tomatoes) could honestly eat one every single day! They have french fries that remind me of potato patch but I think it depends on who is working because we have received a huge portion of hot delicious fries, and a small portion of cold fries - worth the gamble! Oh, and they have ice cream, which is also amazing! Family owned business, they even have movie nights every friday. +++++ ask for a pup sundae for your four legged baby! Very close to Mingo park, great follow up to a hike in the park.

I was out for a ride with a friend this weekend. We stopped at the Mingo Twist N Shake to recoup some energy and discuss where our ride would be going afterwards. While we hadn't expected too much, we were thoroughly surprised. He has soft serve and an Italian hoagie; I got hard serve strawberry and the cheese steak + mayo. The ice cream was great, but the hoagies really shined. The bread was toasted to crispy on the outside, giving it a crunch to the teeth, but quickly gave way to soft, warm bread on the inside. The steak, onions, mushrooms, and peppers were just oily enough that it didn't need mayo and gave it EXCELLENT flavor. My friend spoke highly of his Italian. On top of it all, the owner/operator couple were friendly to us, happy to explain their business and food sourcing, and even interested in our bikes. Beyond all that, they have a broad menu ranging from burgers and hoagies and pizza to ice cream, coffee, and even bubble tea, providing this area with a selection that most places in similar locations don't try to offer. We can't wait to come back. If you're in the area, stop here. The food is reasonably priced and actually really killer! Thank you both!

A January day in the 40s is plenty warm enough for the dog park and ice cream. We spent the afternoon at Mingo Creek Park and on the way home we wanted a snack. We were thinking some fast food French fries, when our friend said "let's try that little ice cream shop we passed." We ordered a lot of food. My husband and our friend had one of the flips, which is a mix between a wedgie and a Stromboli, but even better. They seriously loved them and inhaled both a steak and a pizza. I had a classic slush puppy, hot dog with chili, and fries. The fries were fresh cut and the chili was pretty good too. (disclaimer: I'm a West Virginian and hot dog chili is almost a religious experience in those parts, so I'm sure this hot dog chili was great but I can't betray my hometown hotdog chili). We also had a peanut butter shake (delicious), a raspberry cheesecake sundae, and a dole vanilla coffee whip. We were discussing the dole whips with the owner and when I found out they were dairy free, she made me dole whip Arctic freeze with s'mores toppings. Being dairy free, there are usually very few boring choices at ice cream shops, so I really appreciated her effort to make something extra and it was delicious! She even gave our dogs free sundaes with dog bones! I also got a homemade apple dumpling that I just heated up at home and it was so good! We can't wait to go back to this place next weekend to try more items off the menu!

We decided to try the "new" place and are glad we did. The place doesn't have a sign, but just look for the giant ice cream cone on the front of the building. It's a cute little retro ice cream place with some tables on the side. I like the curved bench in the front where you can sit and wait for your order. Everything we had was perfectly cooked and was fantastic. Fried pickles with dipping sauce - perfect. Fried raviolis sprinkled w/ shaved cheese coupled with a marinara-type sauce - perfect. I had a foot-long with pickles, peppers, and onions - perfect. I actually forgot to put mustard on top, so I took the leftover fried pickle dipping sauce and put it on the dog - think I might be on to something there. We also got the loaded fries - but we were full, so we took those home and put them under the broiler later that day. After dinner, you just gotta have dessert. We had milkshakes and I had an oatmeal cookie craving one. Sounds too "breakfasty", right? But it was so flippin' good. And the wide-mouth straws they give you? Much needed when you're trying to suck bits of oatmeal through the straw. The blue Oreo and white chocolate raspberry are also very good. As for the customer service, kudos to everyone behind the counter wearing masks. The girls were friendly and quick with the milkshakes. The food took a little long to come out but it was worth the wait. Prices - super reasonable. Would we go back? You bet your sweet bippy we would,...and we will. Maybe even tonight.

When I say this place is unique you just have to visit. It's packed to the walls with inventory. I think they have more fishing gear than two Cabellas or Bass Pro shops combined. For sure the most selection of diverse fishing lures and equipment I have ever seen. My daughter suggested it when I said I wanted ice cream. It took me awhile just to decide to get our ice cream because I was busy looking at everything they to offer. There is so much inventory that you can't get down some isles without moving things out of the way. Now the Ice cream. They have probably fifty flavors. Okay maybe not quite that many but if you can't find what you want you don't want ice cream. Just go home. Lol. I wanted the grasshopper mint with chocolate but it must be so popular because they was out. So I settled for a double scoop of raspberry chocolate chunk and my daughter got a single scoop of play dough. Ice cream that is. Lol. And we got the pups a cup of vanilla. I mean what furry friend doesn't like a pup cup. It was really really good. I forgot to get a pic of my cone as my hands were kinda full. Did I mention you can order food to eat? Yep. They offer a menu of food. Great place and friendly staff. A must visit.

This factory offers a *tour* on certain Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons. Each tour lasts about 90 minutes and costs $25 per person. The tour includes seeing the factory's machines, tasting ingredients, and receiving a pint of ice cream. Through Millie's website, I purchased two tickets for a tour of the factory. On the day of the tour, my husband and I parked our vehicle in the free parking lot near the building. Inside the factory, the tour guide Quinn asked customers to sign a legal agreement and then gave us hairnets to wear. We started our tour on time. Quinn began the tour by telling the history of the business. Next, we walked through an antibacterial on the floor to clean the outsoles of our shoes. Quinn showed us a bottler machine, and they gave us samples of milk and chocolate milk to taste. This milk came from Twin Brook Dairy Company and was very rich. Quinn explained that Millie's is both a dairy processor and an ice cream manufacturer. Millie's creates ice creams completely from scratch and does not use any premade dairy bases. Then Quinn showed us machines that mix and cook ingredients. Common ingredients for Millie's ice creams are milk, heavy cream, egg yolk for French-style ice creams, salt, and cane sugar. Additional ingredients could include real vanilla, caramel sauce, coffee, beet root powder for color (no artificial colors), responsibly sourced chocolate, etcetera. Millie's pasteurizes these ingredients together, cooking them at approximately 165 degrees Fahrenheit for about 30-35 minutes. Quinn allowed the customers to smell and taste some of these ingredients. Next, Quinn showed us a machine that cools the ice creams and then a machine that is used to package the ice creams. They explained that the machines are cleaned with a hot acid flush and hot water. At the end of the tour, Quinn gave miniature cups of four ice creams-vanilla, best chocolate, coffee, and dairy-free mango--to each customer to taste-test. Then each customer got to select a pint of ice cream to take home.
