It was her second visit with Dr. Acharya and he is extremely rude, sarcastic and condescending. When speaking about my mother's upcoming cancer treatment we were told "What do you want me to do about it? I don't treat cancer". Also, medications that were previously prescribed where apparently done so by "someone who doesn't know what they are doing" Speaking ill of other doctors instead of just correcting the instructions to the medication is unprofessional. His snarky remarks during the entire visit were unnecesary and frankly I don't care how many letters he has behind his name if he doesn't have the skills to talk to seniors and thier families with respect. She needs professionalism at lease, during a time when stress is high due to on going health concerns. Also, I was never able to reach a staff member by phone, my concerns and request for information were only answered through text messages. My mother does not use text messaging so thankfully I was able to help her. Absolutely shocking that he speaks to patients with such a horrible condescending attitude. Obviously we will have to find her a new cardiologist but I just could not let this go without warning other people.
