RUN!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR MOTORCYCLE HERE! They don't deserve to be an authorized dealer!…read more My motorbike had an over heating issue and the coolant overflowed on the highway, so I stopped immediately and towed the vehicle to Dunbar since they were the closest dealership at that point and I spoke them over the phone, they seemed really co-operative. BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER. As soon as I took the motorcycle in, the attitude of the owner changed, he became insanely condescending and rude from get go. Tom Fournier is the owner of this shithole, he said he won't be touching my motorcycle that week since he had a lot of vehicles he was already working on. I asked for an ETA, he mentioned I cannot give you an ETA but as soon as I inspect the motorcycle I will give you a call. He called me 4 days later and mentioned it'd cost me $750 (5 hours of labor) just to inspect what the problem might be. I had never heard or seen someone charging so much just to diagnose the problem. These were his exact words "I can inspect it for $750, but there's no guarantee the motorcycle will be fixed maybe this is the finish line for it and I won't be able to do much". My bike just has 18K miles on it and is in pristine condition, serviced 2K miles back. I genuinely didn't trust him anymore to leave my motorcycle with him, so I called several other dealers in the area, everyone of them quoted $250 for inspecting the issue. 1 hour later after my research I call Tom again saying I want to take my motorcycle off of your hands before you work anymore on it what's the bill amount at right now. He legit quoted me $750!! "If you want to take it out of the dealership now it would cost you $750", when I asked for breakdown of the work he had already put in, he asked me wait and didn't call me or pick my calls for the next 4 days. After 4 days I went all the way to Brockton to check in person. Again the same, "I have already put in the work, so you take it now or later it's going to be $750"! So I asked him to check the issue anyway. 2nd biggest mistake!! He took 2 more weeks, no calls, no emails. Again I went to the dealership to check the status, he just mentioned they have ordered parts to fix the issue. Until this point he had not taken any authorization from me to order the parts and he hadn't mentioned what the labor charges were going to be and had started fixing the issue, at least according to him. At this point I felt stuck! I don't have any means of commute other than my motorcycle, so I kept mentioning please do this as quickly as possible, it's been 3 weeks already and I have been renting cars everyday. Again no updates for another 2 weeks. Finally after a month I went back again, they mentioned they were waiting for one more part and that's it and that it would be ready in a few days. After 5 whole weeks they call me and tell me that the issue is fixed and told me the bill amount it $2.3K! Yep, for a mere overheating issue he took 5 weeks and charged me 10 hours of labor and got the bill to $2288. I went to pick my motorcycle up, I didn't question any details about the issue itself since I knew he was gonna jump at me for it unprofessionally. When I asked how I could pay the bill he said up to you, cash or card. I paid with my credit card, without informing anything to me he charged me extra $75. Yep, after having been overcharged for an overheating issue he also charged me $75 for using my credit card, when I had debit card and cash too. I'm Indian, I don't know what preconceived notion he has about our race, when I asked him why he didn't even mention about the CC charges his exact words were "You can pay this for sure, what's your salary? I'm pretty sure you earn more than me" and in the process of doing this yelled at my father too, who wasn't even part of the conversation. I have never walked away from a seller this angry or dissatisfied ever. I would have given him -ive or 0 ratings if that was even possible.

Had an interesting experience here. I was having issues with…read moremy BMW motorcycle so I called to see how much it would be to get it checked out. They told me it would be $250 to diagnose the issue. I brought it over and dropped it off and confirmed how much it would cost. I got a call a few days later saying it's one of two things that could be wrong with it and it would cost me $800 to fix. I said I'd think about it and the owner said I had to pay that amount - no questions. I said no, I'll just take my bike and give you the $250 we originally agreed upon. When I went to pick up my bike, it was literally in pieces. I was baffled. I took my bike back and after a month or so realized maybe there was a miscommunication so I called him back to get it fixed and over with. I told him, go for it but if it costs more than the bike is worth (about $4000) then don't bother. He then fixed it and tried charging me $4500. I told him to keep it. I went over there and signed the title to his name. It was just an overall bad experience. Not sure if it was miscommunication or he's actually a bad person. Either way, that's not how you do business.

I have personally been buying from IMS for the past 3 years. I would love to share what I come to…read morelearn about them. 1) Quality of the product Well, they sell Chinese made product, however, far above the bottom the barrel stuff you would get from amazon or other online lowcosters. They have been doing this a while, they know their manufacturers, and often order machines per their own design/specs. Apples to apples, oranges to oranges, their product is a solid mid-grade, at affordable prices - which makes it super attractive for me. 2) Service and repairs I am not to fond entirely of how some of my repairs were handled. I pick my battles and do not antagonize people over small things, when a big issue happens, and I need something warrantied, or replaced, they always come through. 3) Staff and friendliness IMS has been in business a long time! Some people do not realize that, but businesses like this one evolve and improve. What might have been an issue 10 years ago, has been rectified, businesses that keep making the same mistakes, simply vanish - this one has been around 14 years, and will keep being around, because people need what they do.

These guys are great and I've had nothing but good experiences with them thus far. I purchased one…read moreof the Adventure 50cc bikes from one of their Cruze scooter stores in Brookline in early May and I've loved it ever since. I live in Somerville so it was much easier to travel to this location, and driving my scooter around the city is great! Using the bike lanes, sidewalk parking, and amazing gas mileage are a few of the perks, and I have found this to be a reliable, fast, convenient and cheap way to travel about the city, much better than public transportation. I have taken the long scooter ride down to Rockland to the main store and service center twice. Both times I called before and was told I'd be able to get an oil change that day by friendly staff. After making the trip down, they were even more friendly and informative. They gave me riding tips and informed me about different accessories and maintenance schedules. The last time they even directed me to a nice restaurant to eat at while I waited for my 700 mile tune up (which they were willing to accommodate me for on the spot). Based on a good product, informative staff, and extraordinary customer service I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a 50cc scooter. Thanks guys!

I had a leak between the rim and front tire on my 05 Harley Sportster XL883R and so I called around…read moreto find someone who would fix it. I got a bunch of different estimates, some over $300. The Harley dealer in Everett recommended I buy a brand new tire to fix the problem even though my tire had about 200mi on it. I heard about Rahns through word of mouth from a couple of Harley owners so I decided to take a ride down to see him. After pulling the tire off my bike and identifying the problem he had the most logical idea to fix it, just throw a tube in it. He charged me $82, 3 times less then anyone else. I was in and out in no time, the whole fix took maybe 30minutes and he had a chance to look the bike over for any other problems. I know there are a lot of places in the area to take you bike to have fixed but I'm sure Rahns is the best. Not only is he friendly he is extremely thorough, honest and passionate about what he does. Most dealers simply look at your odometer and throw a service package at you. Rahn is much different when he takes a holistic look at you bike then recommends only what you really need. There is no doubt in my mind that I will only get work done at Rahn's and I recommend him to everyone in the Boston area. Oh yea, and if your looking to add some extra power to your bike hes got the parts, know how and a dyno right next door.
