They do have three different vets; the care is not always consistent, and you may not see the same vet each time. They do make last minute appointments available for emergencies, but be aware that you may be waiting a long time - the first time I waited 2 1/2 hours, and I was unaware that I would be waiting that long. Also, they don't have cell service or internet service, so the wait feels even longer. So, bring a book, bring work, bring a pillow and blanket and take a nap - you will need something to pass the time, even with a regular appointment.

Dr. Brown said."We never give up on the little ones." He gave me specially fortified food for the babe and showed me how to treat his eyes with two different kinds of eye drops. That kitten is now a full grown cat with enough vision in one eye to lead a normal cat life. I had planned on calling the kitten Rumba, because he would walk till he would run into something, then turn and go another direction. Today, his name is Houdini, because he is a great escape artist.

My dog had a treatment to 'cleanse' and it was hoped this would in some way help his kidneys. He had to stay there for 2 nights but I wasn't allowed to visit him. ( I learned later that the female vet did not want me there because I was too emotional.) I didn't like this but I did it to help my dog. When I picked him up he wanted nothing to do with me -- he thought I abandoned him! He lived, not very well, for another six weeks and I never brought another animal there.

My dog needs a monthly prescription medication that is $50 through Carrollton Animal Hospital. This same medicine was $20-$25 at Thompson Animal Hospital, Lisbon Veterinary Clinic, Minerva Veterinary Clinic, and others. In an attempt to keep my business local, I tried to fulfill my order through Chewy/1800 pet meds and this was also denied by Carrollton Animal Hospital. They refuse to work with outside pharmacies; however, everyone one of the above listed clinics said they would work with these outside/online pharmacies. I requested to get a written prescription so that I was able to do the leg work required myself and order the medication. Again this was also denied. This is against the American Veterinary Medical Association policies as shown below, and per the Ohio Veterinary Medical Licensing Board this is not required but poor practice to deny a request. This is not the place to take your furry family member. In May of 2022 I notice a mass on my dogs…read moreleg. They took a biopsy and told me it was lymphoma. Also recommended I have the mass removed. I did just that since he is my baby. I was told I'd get the results from the biopsy in 72 hours. A week later I had to call and ask for the results. Much to my relief I was told it was a chronic mass of dermatitis. Worry gone....so I thought. Less than a month later my dog stopped eating and throwing up. Take him back only to be informed that my dog had terminal liver cancer and only had weeks to live. How do you miss terminal liver cancer?? My dog did NOT go from gonna live till an old age to terminal liver cancer in 3 weeks!!!!! Over $2000 in surgery to remove a mass and biopsy's only to have him be put to sleep less than a month after the surgery. Such a sham and shame on the vets. Never take your furry family members here!!! **Only gave them one star cause I couldn't leave review without leaving a star**
