I've been putting off writing this review, mostly because I live in a small town and well, this is…read morea small town business. I'm sure word will travel fast to the owner!
I've been here a few times to get a pedicure with my girlfriend, she loves this place. And so does half of this town, apparently. Me... I'm not a fan :( it's not that I didn't give them a chance because I have... several chances. Each and every time that I have been here to get my toes all fancy, I have left being very dissatisfied.
They don't want to lose any customer that walks through the doors, so they pack em in like a herd of cows. I'm sitting in this sorta comfy vibrating chair, with my toes in warm water, waiting patiently on my turn. I think they do this so that you feel like you can't leave because... well, your toes are in their water, soaking! When they do get to me, I feel like they rush so you don't get the whole relaxing experience that you walked in hoping to receive.
Now, my little piggies are a little funny... or so my other half says. My poor pinky toe likes to hide behind the one next to him, so you have to put a separator between the two of them as if they are about to throw punches! My other piggies, well they know how to get along and need no separation! With that being said, these people NEVER put that silly little separator between my piggies and my polish ends up all messy and not so pretty. They end up replolishing at least twice... this happens every single time! No lie! and I even tell them before they start what needs to happen.
This time I needed new polish on my fingers... this should be easy, right!?! I did walk in kind of late, but there was another lady in there getting fake nails so I figured I was not the one holding them up. I ask if they do gel polish, they say yeah... come on in! The guy sits down and makes me feel like how dare I bother him at the end of his day. He could have told me to go home and I would have been more than happy to! I have a seat at the first station, and he proceeds to tell me how gel polish works... and not because he wanted me to be informed but because he wanted me to know that this was going to take a while and he apparently had better things to do with his time. It took about 45 minutes in total to get this polish change, and I'd love to say they look fabulous. But they don't! Don't get me wrong, for the first day they looked ok. But he failed to polish the tips of my nails and 3 days later, it looks like this is not gel polish at all, but rather regular polish that usually fades and chips within 3 days! The thing is, I paid $18 plus a tip for this polish change that didn't last the money I paid.
Lesson learned... I will not be back.
