Needless to say, the city is filled with massage businesses and finding a reputable one wasn't easy. Spring Spa is a small boutique oriental owned and operated business. It's very clean, quaint, and legitimate. My massage therapist May, was very knowledgeable in deep tissue massage and hot stone therapy. I paid $40 for a half hour, well worth the price for the level of massage therapy I got. I am very active and physically fit and put my body through the ringer 24/7. Massage therapy is a must-have for me, and Spring Spa was awesome. Highly recommended from someone who doesn't tolerate BS or slackers for my money. If you live in Pompano Beach, go to Spring Spa

I went to A&A Massage and spa I looked at the review got good reviews…read more I asked for the price for an hour massage the lady said 80.00 for the hour. I always start my timer the minute the massage starts just an old habit make sure I get what I am paying for. Well, she shortened me 17 minutes and all she was interested in was soliciting sex for money asking me how much I would pay for this pay for that. I even gave her $20 tip even though I wasn't happy with the massage nor the shorting of the time. In my opinion she was not a professional masseuse as I've done this so many times. I tried to call whoever the manager is but they don't speak very good English I was going to ask for them to refund my money talk to an owner or the manager. She kept saying I don't understand and to come back well I was catching a flight wasn't going to waste my time going back to that place. I figured they would refund my money I'd let it go and never look back or patronize this place again. I am going to dispute the charges with my bank and I told the lady still didn't understand what I was trying to say I said well you've got my number please have the owner or the manager get back to me if I don't get a refund on this massage I am going to call the board of health and see to it that your licenses will be revoked and the place shut down places more like a house of prostitution disguised as a massage parlor. I would never recommend this place my worst enemy I hope that something is done about this place because there's too many legitimate massage parlors in that area.

This is a WARNING to future customers about the highly deceptive pricing practices at this…read moreestablishment. I visited as a walk-in, intending to receive a standard foot massage at the general price point I am familiar with, which is often reflected by their widely advertised Groupon rate. The total cost I was asked to pay was nearly DOUBLE the lowest advertised rate. When I inquired about the significant price discrepancy, the employee offered two questionable and misleading explanations that felt like a deliberate bait-and-switch tactic: False Service Distinction: I was told that the foot massage I requested was somehow "different" from the one advertised at the lower rate, despite the service description being vague and matching general expectations. False Redemption Rules: I was then falsely told that the Groupon rate was not available for "walk-ins" and that I would have to schedule an appointment at least two weeks in advance. Based on prior experience using similar services, this is a clear fabrication intended to force customers into paying the much higher, non-discounted rate. I felt pressured and misled into the transaction, ultimately paying an inflated price. An honest business does not employ intentional dishonesty regarding simple walk-in pricing and appointment rules. While the massage itself was performed, the overall experience was completely ruined by the frustration and sense of being financially exploited. I strongly advise checking all prices and terms (in writing) before you sit down, and be prepared to leave if they attempt to pull this bait-and-switch on you. Make sure you use Groupon before.

The first time, I spent the hour counting minutes and wondering if being repeatedly poked qualified as a massage technique. Foolishly, I returned--because optimism is a powerful thing and apparently so is denial. I came in very clear: neck and shoulder stress relief. Knots. Tension. Help. What I got instead was the familiar experience of being lightly poked like a human bubble wrap experiment. At no point did my knots feel threatened. Somewhere along the way, I realized I was directing my own massage, which turns out is not relaxing at all. Also, I did not request--and was not seeking--a surprise foot oiling while my shoulders cried out for mercy. An hour later: Shoulders tight. Neck tight. Everything tight. $90 poorer. Lightning can strike twice. I am living proof. Lesson learned. I should have stayed home and massaged myself--at least I know where my own knots are.
