My anxiety is about a 9. Not just from pain etc. Also my teeth are not the best and I feel embarrassed. Instead of judgment or silence. I received understanding and empathy. Through out the procedure, my pain was constantly there first concern. I was given multiple additional shots as they said, it turns out my canine was a "hot" tooth. The chair massaged me and Amber brought me a glass of water and a heated neck wrap. She even brought my wife back, who was waiting in the lobby; while I was getting numb. She was a very proactive and thoughtful assistant. Doctor Cook was a complete professional and her chair side manner was top shelf. This dental office is set apart from the rest and above them all, in it's own league. If you are on the fence and putting off going to the dentist because of anxiety. We were overcharged and when I called they apologized and told me the service was coded wrong. They promised a refund just to wrap me into a bureaucracy hell. Cheryl, my hygienist, and Dr. McDonald and Ashley have been the most amazing team over the last year, in particular as I cracked two teeth as a result of extreme stress. They guided me through a very painful process and made sure my mouth feels and looks perfect at the conclusion of the work. The work performed is of high quality (as are the labs that they use - for crowns, implants, mouth guards). They have stayed on top of technology so imaging is easy, painless and comprehensive, including 3D digital models. They show the utmost care to their patients before, during and after procedures. The staff is friendly but still professional. The work above all else is thorough and exceedingly well executed. My husband has also had good experiences over the years (although he has needed less dental work, thankfully!) but as a family, we are beyond pleased. I couldn't recommend this dentist more highly. There are some cases when work is authorized by insurance at a certain expected amount, but the actual charges are different. I have never had an issue with this, as it's clearly explainable (the procedure had to go a different way, or the insurance covered something at a higher percent). The clinic "banks" any overpayment for us, and we use it for any charges we might accrue going forward. They have offered to reimburse us as well, but with a family that goes to the same dental clinic, keeping the overpayment there simplifies things for my purposes and I appreciate that they are willing to do that. Normally I'm a Yelp gal all the way but this time I defaulted to Google and I'm glad I did. Lauren the dental hygienist was extremely awesome. I explained my dental anxiety and she asked questions regarding where that anxiety comes from and let me know the various numbing creams/squeeze balls they have for increased comfort. I always bring my own anxiety-football that I death grip but I accidentally dropped my ball on the floor half way through the cleaning yet I felt so comfortable and at ease that I didn't need it anymore. She gave me options such as: manual scraping or using the electric tools depending on what my anxiety can handle. She was calm and thorough and explained the process the whole way through which was so helpful. I don't have dental insurance and they have a special right now for new patients: cleaning, dentist exam, and X-rays for $150. They received my previous dental records and seemed to be informed on my latest dental procedures. Fluoride treatment runs the same price here as other places I've been, between $35-40 dollars. The dentist was really nice and seemed to be thorough, though right now my teeth are in good shape so there wasn't much to talk about. I'd recommend anyone to come here. In the waiting room there were many regulars that staff knew by name, just a really friendly atmosphere.

Dr. Julie took the time to get to know me and the history with my teeth. Over my 20+ years of going to the dentist she has been the best I've had! Her cleanings were perfect and she had great taste in music. She also gave me two great recommendations, one for an orthodontist and one to get my wisdom teeth removed. Sadly I have moved since college but will never forget how wonderful Healthy Start was!!
