My refrigerator stopped cooling in the top section but the bottom half kept working. When I called the Milton Appliance office, the woman on the phone played an important part in my decision to either 1) hire Milton's Service to come take a look or 2) to just go buy a new refrigerator. She was great at helping to partially diagnose the issue so I invested the money in Milton's. Mike the technician arrived promptly at the time that was promised. He is extremely knowledgeable about refrigeration and very friendly. He quickly diagnosed and then fixed the issue and then thoroughly cleaned the back section of the refrigerator. He also took precautions to protect my hardwood floor when moving the appliance and I appreciated that. The repair cost was lower than I expected. I've lived in Walnut Mountain five years and this the first I have needed appliance repair. Saw Milton's truck in downtown Ellijay and called them for a refrigerator repair. Water leaking onto floor. Mike came and fixed it and we are pleased. He's a very likable man and recognized the problem right away. Price was reasonable too. I definitely would use Milton again if the need arises! read more

Our Whirlpool refrigerator is almost 7 years old, so I really didn't want to have to replace it. I called Milton and within the day they returned my call. They were very booked up for months, but stated they would let me know if a cancellation occurred. As luck would have it, they were able to come out within a week of my initial call. Mike was fabulous! He analyzed the problem and fixed it right on the spot in about an hour. He was prompt, worked quickly and knew exactly what the problem was as soon as he opened the freezer. I would not recommend this company for appliance repair. They advertise as being able to repair a particular model of dishwasher. I was having a problem with mine so called Took 3 days to get here then after a short analysis he found the handle was broken, ordered the handle and it took another 4 days to get it, installed finally and after 2 cycles the dishwasher quit completely called their emergency number which is the same for the repairman that worked on the unit, told him of my problem this by the way was on a Saturday, I mentioned I thought on a recall they would want to take care of it right away, He Informed me he didn't work on Saturdays anyway. But his number was the one given out by their office. So we waited again, he shows up finally removes the inside cover and said he thought it was the thermal link, replaced it and the unit started up. he left, It lasted two cycles and quit completely again, same as the last problem, meanwhile I have been charged close to $200 for a repair service and unit is still not operable. read more
