However the reviews from a wide variety of people count for a lot, and those were where I started. I chose to do business with Elkins primarily from all the stellar reviews. And now you can add this one. Elkins more than lived up to my expectations. Aside from the finished product looking great, Elkin was a pleasure to work with. He is professional, thorough, skilled, neat and reasonably priced. He takes pride in his work and it shows. I'm confident this observation applies to any job he does. If you ever need papering done, I highly recommend Elkin's Painting and Wallpapering, you will not be disappointed.

Both areas had problems that he solved creatively, with great care and he made certain the results were beautiful. He replaced rotted wood on house corners, so you can barely see the patch, and then only when you're looking for it. He knew his materials. I picked the wrong stain product for our deck. MY bad. He understood and sanded off whatever he'd applied before I noticed my mistake. We worked together to find the solution. He was a great partner for that process and fully professional at all times. I would recommend you hire him for any painting or deck project. He's extremely conscientious and a hard worker. And a really nice guy as well. Anne G., Yonkers NY

Really bad customer service. I strongly recommend finding another company as there are plenty…read more I spoke to Peter two weeks prior to when I needed a job done. I asked if he could come by our house anytime that week to give us a quote for two jobs. If the numbers seemed good, we would need the job done by the end of the following week. Peter said this would be no problem and that he would come by the house at the latest by the weekend. Just to be safe, I called on Friday (as he did not come during the week) to confirm that he would be coming on Saturday or Sunday. He asked to text pictures of our patio and said he might be able to come that day but if not to call him Saturday morning (the next day) to confirm a time. As requested I called on Saturday morning. No one picked up so I left a message and never heard back. He never came. He never followed up. We never got a quote or any response after multiple confirmations. Peter even said that they would most likely be able to do the job by the deadline as they weren't very busy that week. This is bad customer service at its finest. Telling a customer you are going to do something and not doing it is what you can expect from this company. I guess they don't want our service/money. Find another company. Don't give bad business owners business.
