After requesting quotes from several different companies, we found theirs by far the most reasonable and their attention by far the most personal, with Carlo actually traveling to our place to examine the space before offering an estimate. He was very accommodating in answering all of our initial questions, despite one of us being away at the time, and we were happy to book their service upon receipt of their quote. I do suggest anyone interested in working with this company prepare to accommodate schedule changes, particularly if you have a small project, as we did. Communication with and between all of the people involved in the project was a little spotty before the painter arrived, particularly because we had two associated phone numbers; so you should be flexible if you want to take full advantage of this service and its value. When the painter did arrive, he was attentive to our specific concerns regarding the areas of the room to be patched, and finished the task quickly and efficiently without being at all intrusive. Like Carlo, he answered all our questions, and was very knowledgeable about the tools of his trade. And when, after the paint dried, it turned out the room needed another coat to achieve full coverage--something we didn't begrudge at all, as it would have been impossible to determine this before the paint finished drying--he came back the very next day to add that third coat, working with just as much efficiency as he did the first time. Overall, we were very happy with our first experience with this company, the value of their service, and the quality of the work. It's refreshing to have an updated space, and we think it might be our favorite room in the place now. In fact, we appreciated Peintre Prestige's work so much, we asked them back to paint our hallway in December of that same year. As before, initial communication after receiving the quote was touch-and-go, though on this occasion that could certainly be attributed to the holiday season. But once we had firmly established a date for the work to be done, the painter arrived as scheduled, finishing the job just as quickly, efficiently, and professionally as he did the first time. On this occasion, he was even early! As we chose a paint color closer to the original color on the wall this time, there was no need for a third coat, and our walls and baseboards looked fresh and neat straight away. I am so pleased with the way the apartment looks now, and cannot wait to hang more art on these newly painted walls! In short, Carlo and his team clearly care about doing a good and thorough job on their projects from quote to finish, and we would certainly recommend Peintre Prestige to anyone looking for a reasonably priced painting service in Montreal!

Not recommended for high-end homeowners…read more They dropped off their materials a day prior and walked through my white carpet with dirty boots. Despite being warned the floor was oil-finished and needed protection, they left it completely uncovered. Within hours of starting their job, my chandelier was nearly ripped from the ceiling and placed directly on my black buffet, which ended up being scratched. There were no daily updates, even though I left my home for three days to give them space. For two consecutive days, my Wi-Fi, Ring doorbell, camera, and security system were down because they unplugged everything without telling me. They only painted one coat when the contract clearly mentioned two. After scrubbing my floors with soap and water, which anyone knows it is completely inappropriate for oil-treated wood, the finish was stripped, leaving white blotches and scratches all over, they also destroyed our staircase. Paint splatters were left on freshly painted kitchen cabinets, their paint waste was tossed in the compost bin, and eight of my coats were painted. I paid $400 to have them professionally cleaned (after agreeing with them that I preferred to bring them myself and this would be reimbursed, since they had offered to bring it but I had lost my trust in them at this point). Once at the cleaners, I called them to make sure the 400$ would be refunded, signed a waiver mentioning the coats may not recover (which 2 of them didn't) and they won't replace them nor pay me back the agreed 400$ cost. The "compensation" offered is a refund of my deposit, which doesn't begin to cover the damages, time, or stress. If you value your time and you care about your home finishes, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere!
