Great Deals We…read moreactually didn't plan on shopping much in Inverness. But we walked by this shop and decided to have a look. They have a good range of outdoor clothing and footwear. And for really good prices. We went for some hiking boots (one pair 35£ another for 40£) and a light rain jacket for just another 40£. All items were currently on sale and of really good quality. Used them now for a while and we are really happy with them. Staff was really friendly, took time to explain the products and were not pushy about selling at all. Our dog was welcome as well :) A really good shop with unexpected low prices. Recommended!

A great outdoors shop…read more Huge selection of maps and guide books. Stocks Rab, Petzl, DMM and everything you would expect. Not much in the way of sleeping bags and tents but if you know what you want they can get in for you. Only shop I know that stocks a serious and respectable selection of rope access equipment. Not only that, they know what they are talking about as well. They can also prepare you any (within reason) length of rope from a selection of static and dynamic cords.

They have a good range of childrens outdoor clothes, gloves, and hardy footwear for wee ones .They have decent sales, worth a look. They also have a great Cath Kidson range of trendy floral camping gear, tents, sleeping bags etc. which are also included in sales. It is located in the high street in Inverness which is handy. if you are looking for a cheap tent to leave at t in the park, this is the place to find one

A brand new cafe in Aviemore. Active Outdoor follows the same idea as the Mountain Care up the…read moreroad; an outdoor shop on the bottom and a cafe on the top. The cafe is 5 minutes outside the town with means its currently quite quiet. It's clean and confortable with a mix of tables and sofas They do good coffee and a mix of cakes and light meals (soup and sandwitches etc). Free papers and friendly staff and free Wi-Fi make this a nice place to stop. Definately a good change from the busier places cloaser to the center of town
