I have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Scanning Code of Practice - breaking the law. I was in Miller's meats on Grant today purchasing some meat. I seen a small stick of Chorizo marked at $0.40 so I told the clerk I wanted to buy that piece of Chorizo, he took it and changed the price to ove $9. I told him as it was priced already we should be able to purchase at the price advertised on the piece on meat. He refused, it is bad enough that grocery are over priced as it is to have business's not following Scanning Coxe of Practice which is legally enforced. Not impressed with the un proffessionalism of this establishment especially when we buy majority of pur meats from them. Maybe will have to think twice before going back. read more

I was seriously unimpressed with their service. My first time in, the people behind the counter were too busy chatting up their friends to acknowledge me, the only customer present. The next time, the person didn't know cured from uncured sausage and weren't able to suggest a large, lean cut without running into the back to ask someone. read more

Mixed rating. The meat is excellent and good prices. I agree with the comment that the quality is similar to Costco but of course you are able to have butcher service which is very nice. However they seem to have too many ways to order and haven't trained their staff on how to look up orders. I had made an online inquiry about a product which turned into me ordering the product for a certain date. I asked the person I was having the email exchange with if there was anything else I needed to do. They replied no, that everything was set. I got to the store on the day of my order and they couldn't find any trace of the order for about 10 minutes. I showed them the email exchange on my phone but that didn't help. They understood the mechanism of the order but asked me if I had phoned as well as that would be easier for them which made me feel as though I had done something wrong and was being blamed for the order not being available. Overall a very frustrating experience. I only order in advance when I am going to be busy and having a lot of people for dinner so this was a very unpleasant experience to have when I was already feeling stressed. Will have to try another butcher the next time. read more

I wasnt impressed! Travelled out of my way to try their ribeye. Felt it was small and overpriced!! Lots of grissel, when cooked medium it was very tough!! Bought some kube too, definitely way better options in the city. I was willing to give the shop another try but at a later date on social media I saw guys building shelves. We're in a pandemic, they had no masks or covid sanitizing protection. This turned me off! If they're so careless infront of the counters, I cannot imagine what goes on behind the counters. read more

I was just in there with a friend, normally I'm at superstore or Safeway, however the prices were great and the quality of their deli products were phenomenal. I had a quick taste of their deli and ended up leaving with $20 of deli meat. A superior deli experience. I didn't get any of their other products but their deli counter is worth coming in for. read more

I've been going to Miller's for years and I find that there meat is comparable to Costco's meat. Their Lean ground beef is very good and I wouldn't ever think of going anywhere else for meat except Millers and Costco. read more

It's amazing that a place that makes such great beef jerky can make such utterly horrible hamburger patties. You'd think they'd try a little harder with Superstore right next door, but it's obvious they just don't care. Waste of money aside from the jerky. read more

TL;DR: Went close to closing & they would rather loose an order/customer than help me. They lost a customer. We went to pick up a few steaks from Miller's on the Saturday of Easter long weekend. Google had said they were open till 7.00pm but when we got there at 5.50pm, we found out they actually close at 6.00pm. They had already cleaned out the counters and had six management and staff standing around, clearly waiting for their work day to end. I wanted to be respectful of their weekend so promptly walked up to the counter and asked for two sirloins, 2" cut. The man I spoke to was very unhelpful, just said well we have already put everything away and the machines are cleaned so *with a too bad, I'm not sad attitude*. When I asked him to look, he said with everything put away, the sirloin will be buried so no. A women over-heard and was more helpful; she actually found two, which I thanked her for and took. What made this into a bad experience was that the whole time we had these six staff, asking us if we needed help, where as if they had gotten together and worked, they could have gotten my order done in the ten minutes rather than just staring at me. Also an obnoxious staff member kept loudly snickering at the situation as I was clearly disappointed (though not rude or loud about it) and was quite condescending with a question I asked. I understand from experience how frustrating it is to have a customer come in right before closing and mess up your close but I also know that earning a new customer costs about three times what keeping a regular one does. If they had actually made any effort into helping me, they would have earning a life long loyal customer. I was a semi-regular client there but there are lovely butchers not to far away in both directions so I will not be returning if I can avoid it. As for the steaks, I was not very impressed. One was nicely aged with good marbling but small. The other had no or little aging, was more than twice as big as the first, and was clearly an end/left over piece that was falling apart. read more
