You aren't just stuck with the same kind of food wearing a different label. In terms of appearance, the mall has seen it share of facelift and I know that it's premises are kept clean and there's always security, which is a nice touch during the holidays I have fun memories of shopping here and recently went for Mother's Day as I am not the one buying gifts: despite the nostalgia, the mall holds its own in terms of being a one stop shop for a variety of needs If you grew up in South Florida, you know that this is one of the two places to go when you need to try things on in person. A lot of restaurants but none are particularly spectacular. The boulangerie attracts a lot of people and it's spacious, but the other restaurants at the Palms are usually emptier. The problem is the entrance and traffic congestion turning into the mall. From 88th it's one lane into the main area of the mall and it's squally backed up at the traffic circle. It's inconvenient and parking becomes a hassle because of the angled store-parking that delays passage to the main parking lot. The planning of this space is terrible and after a few years of this I was hoping they would remedy this situation but nothing has changed. Though there are other entrances off of the avenue, it's inconvenient to get to and no one uses it. The grounds themselves aren't nicely landscaped and there isn't any shade in the parking lot making for a very hot car when you return! They've recently added a few crosswalks but only by Einsteins/AT&T. This is most likely due to the limited parking spots available right outside the area with Einstein Bros Bagels requiring many to park on the other side of Macaroni Grill or over by DSW and make the somewhat dangerous to walk over.
