One thing I love love love is that I went in the day after my surgery and all the staff who has worked with me ALL came by to check on me. All of them! That's greatcustomer service. It really made me feel special! My sons are teens and needed to switch from a pediatric dentist to an adult dentist, since they have all their adult teeth. The first issue was with my Invisalign treatment. **Before starting treatment, I specifically asked and confirmed that my retainers would be included in the total price. I was told that they were included.** This was not something that was implied or assumed -- I made sure to ask about it before committing to treatment. At the end of my treatment, however, I was charged **an additional +$300 for the retainers**. When I questioned the charge, they did not honor what I had been told when I signed up for the treatment. I gave them the benefit of the doubt at the time and thought perhaps it was a miscommunication. Unfortunately, I am now dealing with a very similar situation again, which makes me question whether this is actually a pattern. My mom recently had surgery at this office. **We paid for the surgery in full upfront, and we were specifically told that appointments related to the surgery would be included in that price.** Now, they are trying to charge us separately for a post-surgery consultation. On top of that, my mom previously had a cleaning there that cost **$70**, and now they are charging **$109 for the same type of cleaning** without clearly explaining the significant price increase or warning us beforehand. I am refusing to pay for services that I was explicitly told were included in the price we already paid. Rather than making a reasonable effort to resolve the situation, they have taken a position that may leave us having to go to court over it. What makes the situation even more frustrating is that **the front desk staff member is now refusing to speak with me directly about the issue.** Instead of trying to communicate with me and resolve the billing dispute, I am essentially being shut out of the conversation. The treatment experience itself has also been extremely disappointing. I have left this office feeling sore and in significant pain because one of the dental assistants was extremely rough and showed very little care toward me or my mom as a patient. I specifically complained about her behavior and explained that she was hurting my mom. Despite this, they continued bringing her into the treatment room even after we explicitly asked that she not be involved in my mom's care. I have never been someone who leaves bad reviews, but I feel this experience is important to share as a warning to other patients. And if the owner is reading this, I strongly recommend taking a serious look at your administrative management. The manager I dealt with was extremely unprofessional. Instead of actually listening to my concerns or trying to find a solution, she repeatedly said the same things over and over again. It felt like talking to a wall. There was **zero effort to actually make things right**. The most basic principle of customer service is to listen to the patient, understand the concern, and make a genuine effort to resolve the problem. Unfortunately, that did not happen here. After two negative experiences in less than a year, I will not be returning to this dental office for new treatments. Patients deserve to know exactly what they are paying for, to have agreed-upon prices honored, and to feel respected and properly cared for during their treatment.

My personal experience with this dentist office has been one that I'll never forget. I'll also never suggest this dental practice to anyone I know due to my personal first hand experiences. I had previously been a patient at Advanced Cosmetic Dentistry. Unfortunately, I again needed work done on two separate teeth, one that Dr. Peterson had previously worked on and another that required more immediate medically based attention, etc... Simply stated, after an initial appointment was made, a medical treatment plan was set into motion. I then returned for my prearranged appointment. During the follow-up appointment, the wrong tooth was repaired, and I was sent home with an apology from Dr. Peterson, with the promise of a quick repair on the tooth that was not repaired, etc etc... During further discussions with Dr. Peterson's office about the wrong tooth being repaired, the incident was blamed on a, "Communication miscommunication issue". Ultimately, I decided to give this dental practice anther opportunity to repair the original tooth, and follow-through on the repair work they had already started. As such, I made several phone calls to the dental office regarding my medical affairs. During one of these discussions, an employee of Dr. Peterson willingly and openly divulged and/or admitted that they had been recording our telephone conversations regarding my medical affairs. Since the employees admission possibly violated my HIPAA rights, I obviously reached out to the Utah State Health Department, and Dr. Peterson directly, etc... During this process, I returned to Dr. Peterson's office for another consultation (in person) to discuss the events that had transpired with the employee and to address my untreated tooth, etc... During this appointment, once Dr. Peterson learned that I had spoken to the Heath Department, I was then told by Dr. Peterson directly, "Any further medical treatment at his facility was contingent on weather I continued, or discontinued speaking to the Health Department about his employees actions". In other words, in short, this dental provider has literally tried to silence me from speaking with the Utah State Health Department regarding the actions of his employee by withholding further medical treatment, etc... Now I'm stuck with the most horrible dental experience I've ever had to deal with in my life time. I've literally been left with a deteriorating temporary tooth needing a crown, while the original tooth has still remained damaged and untreated for months due to what they have described as a "Communication miscommunication issue". Simply put, due to the situation I'm now having to seek out the services of an oral surgeon to review the dental work that was done. I'm also stuck in the position of having to locate another professional dental specialist to finish the uncompleted dental work and/or uncompleted repairs, in addition to completing the required forms for the proper Utah State agencies. Again, this review is based off my personal experiences with this dental provider... As such, I simply will not, and cannot recommend this dental provider's services, etc...
