Description Of Work: Paul Kollmann was wonderful to work…read morewith to create a marker for my grandmother who had passed away a number of years ago. Getting the stone was just something that never got done and he made it an easy process. Details: Paul, and Maureen Moriarty came to my house in the Twin Cities and met with my brother and me. They spent time explaining things about our choices for the marker. They brought with several large books with monument ideas for script and art work. Since we wanted to match the stone's color to the others in the plot Paul guided us in that direction. We knew we wanted a flat stone and there was never any pressure to select a more expensive upright marker. . He and Maureen were quite patient with the time it took us to select the font and the graphic. They also answered all our questions. After placing our order, Paul kept in contact to inform us when the stone arrived, and when it was carved. Paul worked with the Blomskog Cemetery in Sturgeon Lake to meet their requirements. . When it came time to set the stone Paul was willing to meet us on a Saturday. After the ground was prepared, he even let me help with the final setting. . The work on the stone is beautiful, and we are quite pleased. His prices were very reasonable without all the added fees from the other monument companies. . I highly recommend his work and skill.

I love their bare root barn in the spring, in about April. I especially like that they've changed…read moreto a preorder system. No more driving up from the cities only to find out they are out of the trees I was hoping for. The bare root trees are, of course, young, but more established than the seedlings you could get from the state nursery. And you don't have to buy 100! This is a great option if you are on a really tight budget and/or looking to reforest an area. I always take a swing through the garden center as well. There are some great bargains on garden decor, as long as you know your prices. Good gift shopping.

I've previously loved Nelson's Nursery…read more This last experience I had preordering: - I emailed several times with no replies. - I called multiple times asking to talk about an order change. Several of those I was told I'd be called back, I never was. - I called again saying I'd like a refund a month ago, and only then I was told "no problem, we'll get it" - Nelson's called me with pickup times over the weeks of waiting... when talking with them, they'd then tell me they were mistaken and they didn't have it or know when it was coming in. - I got an email on Friday saying it was ready for pickup - and then I drove there with a trailer only for them to tell me it's not there. I waited for 20minutes while people ran around trying to find someone that knew about this situation. I was told I would be called on Monday. The manager couldn't be bothered to talk to me in person. Yesterday I received no call. - No offer for any sort of compensation to right this wrong. - I finally get a chance to talk to them on the phone and they take zero responsibility for these issues. I asked them for my money back. They had the rude audacity to tell me that because they have an extra tree they are the victim of this situation. I've tried to talk to a manager, nope. I've tried reaching out to senior management, nope. This place is incredibly mismanaged and unorganized. There are better nurseries out there, I'll be recommending those to others in the future.

This is a family business that won a competitive contract from the county to install safety…read moreequipment like locks, a ceiling mount, and a fence for our special needs child. The son, Grant, was personally involved with everything. He pointed out several safety hazards that would have been missed otherwise, and helped us find locks and doors that met our unusual needs. He also automated their administrative stuff so it was really easy to work with them. The dad, Gary, came over to double check that the workers did everything to his standards, and even made them double reinforce the ceiling mount just in case it got overloaded. I could not be more impressed with their integrity and high standards. Especially with the safety stuff where they could have cut corners and gotten away with it on the county's dime. If we ever need work done, I'm not even going to bother getting estimates from anyone else. Thanks Kastners!
