Kelly is an incredible communicator and really gets to the root of the issue and instills a wonderful comfort level to the clients so they feel they can be themselves and open up freely and with the confidence that they are being heard. She is the utmost professional and has great empathy and skill in her counseling approach. I sense she has a true calling as a counselor, communicator and group facilitator. Her keen vision allows her to accentuate a person's unique capabilities, which in turn, promotes the best qualities of that individual. It is Kelley's willingness to share her own energy and enthusiasm for learning that fosters growth within her clients and colleagues.

She'll suggest resources and recall even the smallest details you shared in sessions prior to relate to your current situation, equipping you with a deeper understanding and perspective to discern ways to move forward. Ms. Kelly is also a genuinely kind person with great integrity for her profession, confidentiality, and client care. I began weekly virtual meetings with Ms. Kelly in August 2020 to cope with unexpected life changes and trauma, after having been away from therapy for some time. I am so sincerely grateful to have found Ms. Kelly and her holistic approach to counseling and wellness. Without her, I would not have survived these past several months. I HIGHLY recommend working with Ms. Kelly for healing from: depression/anxiety, PTSD, sexual assault, relationship issues, co-dependency, toxic family dynamics, and coping with a loved one's compulsive addiction.

Prior to meeting Dr. Donahue, I had been in therapy consistently for ten years. I've seen at LEAST…read morefive therapists, ranging in technique, demeanor, specialty etc but truly not one of them compares to Dr. Donahue. I originally sought out her support for EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitntion and Reprocessing) to move through a trauma that I experienced at 13 years old. Shortly after we began treatment, I experienced another traumatic event and we quickly switched gears. Dr. Donahue is an agile psychologist who knows how to redirect attention and efforts on a whim. She helped me learn to trust myself by asking me pointed questions rather than giving me specific advice; she taught me how to set boundaries and most importantly, how to not feel guilty about doing so. She taught me how to be resourceful and utilize all of the tools I have cultivated over the years. She taught me how to utilize my friends/family/community as a tool as well. I ended my work with Dr. Donahue because I moved across the country but I would have actively chosen to stay with her had that been a possibility. I genuinely don't know where I'd be without her. I have never, in my entire life, felt so at peace and happy as I am right now. My recommendation for anyone looking to have a really impactful therapeutic experience is to do your homework. Show up to every session like you show up to work -- be prepared, get curious about yourself on your own time, come with questions and thoughts. Be OPEN and adopt a learners mindset.

A great deal of harm accompanied, by coincidence or not, her unprofessional interactions with too many members of our family at once. Sue opined on matters she was ill-equipped to address, and she opined both wrongly and destructively. This was several years ago. I'm sure in the right circumstances her counsel is productive.

I would either receive a band-aid for the massive wounds I had or homework to take home that did not examine the root of my problems. They spoke to me but not with me. But when I met Sue, she was different. She asked the hard questions that I never thought about or even asked myself. Sue was patient with me when I took steps backward and taught me how to use DBT in conjunction with what I enjoyed and cared for the most, such as my faith. With Sue's help, my mindset on life transformed into me finally choosing to take care of myself. After three years of working with Sue, I graduated high school, started a business, transitioned into a new home with my family, and bettered my relationship with my father. I couldn't be more grateful to have met and journeyed with a therapist as great as Sue from my late teenage years into adulthood. I recommend Sue to all of the parents I come across asking me for mental health support. Sue is, by far, the best human resource you'll ever find.

I have to say, with no exaggeration, that Nancy probably saved my life and helped me to be an advocate for myself. In both instances, I was working through some very traumatic and difficult times in a complex family situation and also navigating some major stressors at work. Nancy was compassionate, empathetic, skilled, and an incredibly good judge of character. She is well read, intelligent, and thoughtful in her delivery, and takes a holistic and integrative approach to helping her clients. She was flexible in scheduling me and worked with me on a sliding scale. She also got me involved in journaling and initiating a daily practice of gratitude, which was nothing short of life-changing and what I needed. I was invited to attend her writing group, a very warm and nurturing group who didn't judge me for being too nervous to share and I still benefited from hearing from others. Nancy puts you immediately at ease but can be direct and impactful, always tempered with kindness. I'm sorry I didn't continue with her when I was contemplating a big life change (a big move with someone who was not good to me). This completely (and thankfully) fell through when a member of my family became gravely ill and sadly died. What Nancy does not know today is that she helped me profoundly to tap into my own strength and sensibilities to break off this very unhealthy and toxic relationship that lasted throughout the second span of time I worked with her for good. I so wish we were still in touch, but for her I wish nothing but the absolute best. She is truly a blessing in my life and a gem of a human being and practitioner. I miss talking with her so much and couldn't begin to express just how thankful I am that I knew her.
