We have even started to go down through the menu until we have all tried everything (still a long way to go though). What I like about Yum Yums is that the main meals are split into 2 categories. You choose a 'Yummy' which is basically the bulk of your main, i.e. beef, chicken duck etc. Then a 'Yum' which is like the sauce, topped of with either a portion of boiled/fried rice, Chips, or Half/Half (half chips half rice). There can be around £2 in difference for a pizza of the same size when compared with pizza hut - with chicago being the cheaper. They have changed the layout recently and it seems to have made the floor area smaller but there are still toilets for customers to use and a few tables for you to eat inside if you should desire to do so.

The meals are very tasty and at lunchtime they do a special on most meals that means you can get your favorite meals for less money! Also they do a variety of banquets, which you may think is like other takeaways but the May Bo also does a banquet for one at a very reasonable price and many people even get a couple of these instead of a larger and slightly more expensive banquet. Last year it won the award for best curry house in St Helens and unless there is a gem I do not know of, it must have won it easily. The food is well priced, about six to nine quid for a main course (excluding sundries). The curry is very good, and the service was charming when I went, it seemed emotionally important to the waitress that we did not have to wait on our ale. The drinks are taken care of by the attached pub. The Merlot was very good, the ales included Jennings and Black Sheep. Very nice indeed.
