I went to max performance and they not only did they know what they where talking about but the they only charged £190. Rather than getting ripped off at bigger stores for the same brand item, I have spent a fraction of the price here. The owner is great at advising you on what to use for whatever problem you have with your car, which saved the hassle and cost of going to a mechanic. What sets it apart from any major chain store nearby is the friendly service from staff. If you're a petrol head who knows what he's doing - they can talk your language. But I'd you're a car dunce (as I am) then Shane, Kevin and the team don't think twice about offering you guidance and helping you fit standard parts such as windscreen wipers and hub caps. The staff all know their stuff and the small store is crammed with stock. If they don't have what you need they will do their best to get it for you as soon as possible. Given my idea of what AB Fletchers used to be like was greated by a modern store with a better range of product than any Halfords branch. Everyone was helpfull and knowledgable and the guys on the Cyclelife Section were first rate. We came away with a better bike than available at any Halfords and were surprised to see standard on the shelf prices considerably cheaper than many nationally advertised specials seen on the TV for Halfords. Everything is reasonably priced and John and his team really seem to know their stuff, so even if you don't have a clue about cars, you're bound to wind up finding exactly what you need. Ample off-road parking is available right outside the store and several bus stops are within walking distance, so you'll have no trouble getting there either. The staff are great, the atmosphere inside is pleasant and John's stock is exceptional. If ever you're suffering from car troubles, you really can't go far wrong here.
