We went as a group and arrived at the front door and a lady (kim) came out as asked if she could help us. We explained we were here to tour the house and she asked if we had reservations. We told her that we called weeks ago and were told we didn't need reservations and was emailed this info as well. She said give her a minute to turn on the lights and we could go in. We paid $10 each for the tour. She showed us a video that gave background information about the Mars Family and how they came to Tennessee. We toured the house on our own and it was very nice. Some period pieces and the 1930's bathrooms were impressive. It also has the worlds largest privately owned table. The place was very nice, but I think $10 is a bit stiff for a 20 minute house tour, but that might just be me. read more
