I have received some as gifts but had never visited the store itself until now. IMO this is a unique place in Sweden, or anywhere. There are two sewing machines right in the store, and everything is made in Sweden. The designs are delightful and the fabrics are workmanship are quality. Also, I was pleasantly surprised at the prices! The dollar is strong right now and these items were much less than I thought they would be. I bought a computer case, a makeup case, some dish towels and other gifts. Don't miss Hilda Hilda when shopping in Stockholm!

Best selection of designer sunglasses in Stockholm (NK Details is the same store)…read more The jewelry selection is okay... they do have every big Swedish brand along with some international names as well. The Mood location is usually empty and it's not a problem getting help to check out the shades that sit under lock and key... However the NK store... take a number.. and wait, wait, wait... especially around the holidays... More people should take a cue - and jump across the street to MOOD - where they have the same selection without the long line!!!

My Swedish husband was aghast to learn how difficult it was to find the simple wooden clogs that he grew up wearing. If his mom hadn't recommended that we try this store on Kungsgatan street we would have sadly departed Sweden sans wooden clogs. Now, they weren't cheap. Not like they used to be when they were the staple footwear that people wore. Sometimes even during winter with heavy wool socks. At this store you can find classic wooden clogs and modern clogs as well as other shoes as you'd expect a shoe store to sell. This is a VERY tiny store with only like three or four seats and a single employee, so put your patience hat on and enter with a smile and good manners.

This whole place had a lot of different local items that were so cute. Some items included: jewelry, kitchen gadgets, backpacks/wallets, notebooks, cards, soaps, stuffed animals and other kids items. I picked up a handful of smaller items that didn't seem unreasonably priced. The woman working at the counter was also super cool, and asked if I wanted to get my items tax free and explained the process for when I go home and showed me details of how to do it.
