I also understand most restaurants do not have a policy prohibiting phone calls. But when the restaurant is quiet, people usually have enough home learning to not have a conversation on speaker phone to where EVERYONE can hear what is being discussed. We asked politely the first time for them to turn the volume down yet they kept talking. The second time we were not so nice. It is basic, social etiquette to not be rude but unfortunately, social etiquette is lacking in so many people. It's not like we were at McDonald's -- this is a nice restaurant.
