He also informed me that an intake consultation costs $500 and there is no guarantee. I obviously did not move forward as $500 is in my personal opinion a ridiculous amount as we are not even talking about a retainer here, this is just for an initial conversation with an attorney.

Daniel and the team could not have been more supportive, caring, and professional throughout the entire process! Likewise, Daniel's expertise in litigating our case was on full display throughout the entire process... We could have never imagined that we would find ourselves in a position where we would have to defend our very reputations, however, we are sure glad we had Daniel and Minc Law on our side! If you ever find yourselves in the unfortunate position that your character and reputation has been defamed, we would highly recommend hiring Minc Law to represent you!

The attorney assisting me has been outstanding--professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and always willing to answer my questions. The plan is very affordable, especially considering everything it covers. From estate planning and trusts to traffic matters and many other legal needs, the value is incredible. It covers both you and your spouse, which makes it an even better investment. Whether you have access to MetLife Legal Plans through your employer or purchase a plan directly from MetLife, I highly recommend it. It has already saved me money, provided excellent legal support, and given me peace of mind when I needed it most.

The last person I spoke to on the phone was evasive and refused to answer my question, so I asked to talk to his supervisor. I was promised a call back, but that was days ago and it never happened. Prior to that I was told that the attorneys in their network decide what is and isn't covered by the plan, which is clearly false. MetLife Legal Plans may be fine if your needs are very basic (or nonexistent), but for me it has been a very bad experience. If I were a lawyer I'd consider suing them, but then if I were a lawyer I'd be in the fortunate position of not needing them in the first place. May those of you reading this be so fortunate.

Initially the communication was great and I felt like I was in good hands. It is a small law firm, but they are very knowledgeable. After a few months, the communication was abysmal. I would make a call or send an email and would wait actual weeks for a reply. I get it: people are busy and I am far from their only client. I was told initially I would make a down payment and could pay the rest later. Suddenly I was told for them to continue doing work I had to pay them the rest. Okay, no big deal. However the first check was returned to me unopened. Maybe I wrote down the address wrong? I'm not sure. So my ex tried to drop off a check in person and they weren't open. I didn't realize I would have to beg them to take the money. In early December I emailed them, giving them one last chance. I sent another email and finally got a response that they were very sorry, they were in Florida on vacation and would reply when they were back in the office. It's February 4 and still no reply. That's one hell of a vacation! (Mind you, in between that email and January 1 I drove to Florida for a vacation. I was somehow still able to handle my work emails). I tried again. Still nothing, and no returned messages when I called. I genuinely hope everyone there is okay but I feel like something may have happened. They used to be so organized and responsive. As for the half payment? Likely will never see that. Next time you want to waste money, at least have fun with it.
