My $7K fence 2x4s looks like the Monday morning stock exchange…read more Where to begin? Hired him because he was a veteran and he was easy to talk to. Ended up going with 2x6 rot boards with metal post for $7K. Before the wonderful journey began I reminded him on what sides would receive the nice side and what side would receive the post side. I also told him I need to see straight lines or it will drive me crazy, and that the gate needed to open to the front yard. Surprise!!! I got none of those things. Now that I think about it he may of just seen a squirrel and got side tracked. * The yard was a disaster for 2 weeks due to tools, new wood randomly thrown throughout yard allowing it to warp, old fence left on my grass for over a week, and even a tractor auger was left in my neighbors yard for over a week. * He installed 2x4 rot boards and I had to correct him as I paid for 2x6 rot boards * Looks like he just eyeballed everything as I barely saw a level, string level, or laser level being used. That being said take a look at the pictures and see how straight or appealing the fence looks * Poles are different lengths up top, I assume that is from him from not using a line level when setting the post. Doesn't look like he can cut them as some are 2 short and you can't install a post cap. * Disappointed timeline - told 2 days ended up being 2 weeks, we have 3 dogs and timeline was super important to us. * A few old 4x4's were left in the ground * Cleaned out cement mixer in my yard and leaving all the gravel in my grass * Did not reattach my old chain-link fence to the new fence * Did not backfill * Left huge gaps * Double gate fence looks like its going to fall apart * Left some of the old concrete from the old post This here is a man that turned his can do attitude into other peoples backyard nightmare. There is more but I'm tired of writing this review. Aug of 2024 - Right after the tornado in Temple.
