We recently went to a birthday party and one of the workers treated my son like crap and made him cry. If you're gonna allow children to have parties there, the staff you hire should learn to have patience and not take it out on the kids. My kid made a simple mistake by moving too quickly and the asshole asked him what his name was and proceeds to scold him in front of all the other kids. If you don't explain the rules, DON'T ASSUME that everyone there is a gymnast and knows only one kid can do a thing at a time. Teach them so they learn. Don't yell, discourage, or embarrass a child. This same jerk who scolded my son was also putting other children in time out. Imagine going to a birthday party and getting put in time out. WTFFFFF Facility is decent. But beware of that one staff member. Wish my husband was there and he could be a tough guy to him instead of a 6 year old. Pathetic! read more

We have been at 3 different areas gyms for recreational and team classes and Twisters if far above the rest in the amount of fun my girls have, how much they learn, and how much the teach them persistence, confidence, and of course gymnastics. They get some excellent results but never with any negative tactics- no yelling, no threats, no pushing to "just get over it" on an off day. My girls are not naturally super talented gymnasts, but have never felt treated as "lesser than" the more talented kids. read more

We love Midwest Twisters! The facility and coaches are top notch. 2 of our daughters train here. One started when she was 4 and is now 11. Our youngest is just starting out and we trust that she is in the best hands. Coach Mickey is amazing with his approach. He pushes when necessary and pulls back when needed. These kiddos are not only training for gymnastics, they are learning life-long skills. Birthday parties are a blast here too! Coach Mickey sets it up and tailors it to suit the ages and abilities of the kiddos in attendance. Our daughter just celebrated her 5th birthday here and LOVED it! read more

Also some of the programs can get a bit pricey but for me it's worth it. Nothing too much for my baby girl! LOL But if you have an active kid or want one to be,give them a try!

Once getting into the entrance it's very busy, especially since every transition (ticket purchases, choosing skates, and seating areas for trying on skates) is going on at once in one cramped space. There were many weeks I thought they would ask us not to come back. Miss Tammy and Miss Sammy have worked so well with him. Even when he is kicking and whining or ignoring instruction, they never gave up on him. They are tough, but still show him respect and guide him along. Today, after much hard work on their part and his, he earned his first star. He is listening, he is saying yes ma'am, and he is participating in class.
