I own a small lawn care business and i called to see if they had mower blades in stock to pick up. The guy in parts told me he needed exact model number of the blade or exact serial number of the mower to see if they could find the correct blade. I gave him my exact mower (Scag tiger cat 2 52") and the exact length of blade as well as the bore hole size. He still could not tell me if they had it. Guy was very condescending and dismissive. I then called superior saw in mason and asked if they had blades for a scag tiger cat 2 52" and he said let me check... then checked and said they had plenty. They didnt need exact serial numbers of anything. Far better customer service. I'll drive 20 minutes out of my way to for their customer service and parts. read more

Stopped in for a spark plug and saw 8 people standing behind the registers (maybe 6 registers) 1 guy helping the customer in front of me. And a second guy just standing around watching the guy working. I asked if he could ring me up a spark plug and he said no because they're behind the counter... horrible customer service and way over staffed. Dropped mower blades off to have sharpened on a Sunday and was told I would be called when they were done... probably Wednesday or Thursday. I didn't hear from them, so on Friday I call to get a status update - - - and am sent to voice mail: "Just leave us your number and we'll call you right back." NO CALL BACK. Tried to call again on Sunday - - again sent to voice mail, again NO CALL BACK. I'll speak to the manager when I return. This has got to be unacceptable in the eyes of those who have worked with Midwest Power Equipment when it was small potatoes! They previously took great pride in their customer service! read more

Don't expect them to get back to you. Slow to work on equipment. Don't take messages well so good luck with that! Every step of getting riding mower and lawn mower maintenance was a hassle. 2 months later I am getting them back... Would not recommend even in the new facility. read more

I ordered mower parts online from them - had reasonable prices but it took them 9 days to just ship a simple order. By then my lawn had turned into hay field. My own fault as I should have read their reviews before ordering as it looks like many others have received poor customer service from Midwest. I have been happy with Midwest since my first mower purchase over 20 years ago. The last few years have only gotten better in service and selection. I am just a residential customer but I feel valued as much as a commercial account that has a fleet of equipment. tldr: Fast, great service. I've had dealings with them in the past on a ( under warranty ) Toro mower, service was the pits never really fixed anything, what they did fix only stayed fixed a few days, charged me 25.00 dollars to repair a mower still under warranty, this place SUCKS, I ended up buying a Honda HRX 217 HZA on line way cheaper than this place wanted, I'll never walk in this place again. read more

I ordered a part online. I never recieved the part ( 7 days after the estimated arrival date) so I called. The women on the phone says the part was discontinued and that I wasn't charged and she sent an email. This place sucks. I called them and was told they would fix my four wheeler. Just bring it in with no appt. I drove mu truck from Dimondale to Mt. Pleasant to pick it up and then trailered it back to Midwest. They told me that they would not even take it in. So now I need to take it back to Mt. Pleasant. It cost me a lot of time and gas. They know their stuff but it took them forever to look at my mower (7 days) and the communication is horrible. They indicated they would get on it right away when I dropped it off. She then put me on hold, and came back and said someone would have to call me back. I told her I needed to know right away, and she hung up on me!
