I have been a customer of Midwest Power Equipment for 10 years, I bought my riding mower from them, not the box store!, they have taken care of all warrantee issues with no questions asked. Very happy with the service and knowledge of the staff. Thank you. BAE read more

I will never shop at or have service done at this store. Took in a rototiller to be diagnosed for a fluid leak and possible running issue. After almost 2 weeks I get the quote back of over $800 in repairs. New tiller only about $1000. When I picked it up, I noticed that not one bolt or screw had been removed(dirt still on head). Not sure how you figure out what needs fixed if you don't open it up. read more

Had been a customer for years. They had always done great. They had some issues in 2024 and I discussed it with them and they assured me it was going to be smoother in 2025 so I trusted them with my equipment. Big Mistake. They have had my equipment for over 3 weeks and it has not even been started!Meanwhile my zero turn is out in the weather which it NEVER had been. I won't give them another chance. read more

I own a small lawn care business and i called to see if they had mower blades in stock to pick up. The guy in parts told me he needed exact model number of the blade or exact serial number of the mower to see if they could find the correct blade. I gave him my exact mower (Scag tiger cat 2 52") and the exact length of blade as well as the bore hole size. He still could not tell me if they had it. Guy was very condescending and dismissive. I then called superior saw in mason and asked if they had blades for a scag tiger cat 2 52" and he said let me check... then checked and said they had plenty. They didnt need exact serial numbers of anything. Far better customer service. I'll drive 20 minutes out of my way to for their customer service and parts. read more

Stopped in for a spark plug and saw 8 people standing behind the registers (maybe 6 registers) 1 guy helping the customer in front of me. And a second guy just standing around watching the guy working. I asked if he could ring me up a spark plug and he said no because they're behind the counter... horrible customer service and way over staffed. About a mile away there's a TrueValue Hardware store with a great staff ready to help! 1581 Haslett Rd Haslett, MI 48840 United States read more

Dropped mower blades off to have sharpened on a Sunday and was told I would be called when they were done... probably Wednesday or Thursday. I didn't hear from them, so on Friday I call to get a status update - - - and am sent to voice mail: "Just leave us your number and we'll call you right back." NO CALL BACK. Tried to call again on Sunday - - again sent to voice mail, again NO CALL BACK. I'll speak to the manager when I return. This has got to be unacceptable in the eyes of those who have worked with Midwest Power Equipment when it was small potatoes! They previously took great pride in their customer service! read more

Don't expect them to get back to you. Slow to work on equipment. Don't take messages well so good luck with that! Every step of getting riding mower and lawn mower maintenance was a hassle. 2 months later I am getting them back... Would not recommend even in the new facility. read more

Reasonable pricing, timely service, rude and unprofessional staff! every time that I visited the store or called them.

Great service in getting a quick mower oil change & blade sharpening. Estimated two days, took less than 4 hours. Martha Was very helpful as I looked for a new Toro mower. Will be back. read more

These guys are awesome! Great customer service, great equipment and fair prices. I'll be making purchases here often!

The customer service is rude and definitely treats each customer differently. Nothing is done when they say it will be done. They quote one price and charge another. They were rude to my elderly father and gave him lip service. read more

I ordered mower parts online from them - had reasonable prices but it took them 9 days to just ship a simple order. By then my lawn had turned into hay field. My own fault as I should have read their reviews before ordering as it looks like many others have received poor customer service from Midwest. I have no idea how it could take 9 days to pull 4 parts of the shelf, put them in a box and ship them. Disappointed and sitting in the middle of a hayfield read more

I have been happy with Midwest since my first mower purchase over 20 years ago. The last few years have only gotten better in service and selection. I am just a residential customer but I feel valued as much as a commercial account that has a fleet of equipment. tldr: Fast, great service. Knowledgeable staff and good selection of products. read more

The husband and wife team who own and operate midwest are both incredibly respectful and responsive to their customers needs. I drive to midwest from the DeWitt area because of their trustworthy, reliable and friendly service. At this point, I would never consider going anywhere else. read more

I've had dealings with them in the past on a ( under warranty ) Toro mower, service was the pits never really fixed anything, what they did fix only stayed fixed a few days, charged me 25.00 dollars to repair a mower still under warranty, this place SUCKS, I ended up buying a Honda HRX 217 HZA on line way cheaper than this place wanted, I'll never walk in this place again. read more

I ordered a part online. I never recieved the part ( 7 days after the estimated arrival date) so I called. The women on the phone says the part was discontinued and that I wasn't charged and she sent an email. But made some excuse like I people haven't been getting my email and I don't know how to keep it out of spam. Well I check my span she never sent the email. read more

My husband was an avid customer of Midwest, he had very high standards, and he found staff to be helpful and respectful. Since my husband died, they have helped me immensely in a variety of ways--completing service requests, suggesting equipment changes, and offering advice. They are extremely competent, very efficient, and oh-so-kind, even to people who require a bit of additional attention. read more

I read some reviews of calls not being returned. Midwest posted that issue would be taken care of. Apparently they talk the talk, but don't walk the walk. I left a message over a week ago, and haven't heard from anyone. Poor customer service. I took my business elsewhere. read more

after 15+ rings miranda finally answered. I have no idea was said multiple times during our conversation.

This place sucks. I called them and was told they would fix my four wheeler. Just bring it in with no appt. I drove mu truck from Dimondale to Mt. Pleasant to pick it up and then trailered it back to Midwest. They told me that they would not even take it in. So now I need to take it back to Mt. Pleasant. It cost me a lot of time and gas. I will never set foot on their property again. That was BS.. read more

They know their stuff but it took them forever to look at my mower (7 days) and the communication is horrible. They indicated they would get on it right away when I dropped it off. The next time I checked (3 days later) they said it would be at least 5-7 days before it was even looked at! And they were ticked off that I even called to check on it. read more

I called to find out if they had a particular model of chainsaw in stock. I spoke with a co-owner, who didn't have any idea. She then put me on hold, and came back and said someone would have to call me back. I told her I needed to know right away, and she hung up on me! I would think that an owner would know what products they sell, and would not treat a potential customer so rudely. read more
