[ Overall Impression | TLDR] Visit Date: Nov 7, 2025 10:45…read morePM to 12:10 AM Smooth ER visit on a weekday night. Staff remained alert, kind, and quick despite being short handed. Facility is clean, modern, and practical for overnight care. Parking tight but manageable if you arrive before midnight. [ Parking] * Don't forget your parking pass with you * Handicap [Sticker]? Use @ round about valet * Garage access P2 floor and above before noon (fills fast by lunch) * Patient drop off zone near ER entrance * Limited short term parking after 9 p.m. * Use bathroom before leaving in case of long exit line * Trucks not recommended unless parked on higher levels for space; lower levels may stick out [ Building & Layout] * Entrance positioned too close to garage, causing traffic congestion when busy due to overlapping entry and exit points [ Bathroom / Amenities] * Stroke patients can't use the restroom until cleared by a physical therapist; must use an ergonomic bucket on the bed (covered) * Chilly overall unless sitting near the window where the sun shines through [ Kitchen & Refreshments] * N/A at the moment [ Surroundings] * Strong city views spanning from St. Louis to Midtown to Clayton [ Interior & Atmosphere] * Modern and soothing pastel color scheme [ Staff] * (Main) Very friendly and urgent (Amanda) * Short staffed but responsive * Echocardiogram staff kind and efficient [ Notable Details] * [ ER] * Staff show sincerity and urgency even on non weekends * Wait time moderate; triage moves efficiently * Security check and ID required at entry * Visitors limited after midnight (confirm at front desk) * PM to AM (Weekday Fri): Visitation for Admission [ Internet (Likely Fiber)] * Download 177.9 Mbps * Upload 124.1 Mbps * Wi Fi stable in room (possibly router or emitter near window) * Plenty of outlets for laptops and chargers * Windows cannot open (5th floor)

First impressions are everything and it didnt happen for me at this hospital…read more Parking is literally non-exsistant. I assume due to construction there is only 1 garage for both the hospital and the dr bldg. Don't bother trying to get a spot as you go up, just go straight to roof where I eventually found one. It cost to park, take your ticket, they'll give you maybe $1 off if you validate it. If you can't find a spot, valet the car. It costs as well. The new concept of everybody checking in at the front before going to their respective waiting rooms is here. Its confusing since no one seems to want to help. Again first timers be aware of your surroundings. Communication lacks here with the particular office I was at. They may care but its more of a revolving door. The nurse i dealt with could use a few lessons in her approach. I won't get into details but if I stick with this particular practice I'll be going to their satellite location, not returning here.

This is a good hospital. Let me qualify my statements. I work in surgery and at many different…read morehospitals in many different states. There are a few things from which I choose when rating a hospital. 1. The O.R. staff and surgeons with whom I have worked: Great! They care so much about the children who are there to have surgery. It is definitely about patient care. Some hospitals are in such a rush to get things done, sort of a "churn and burn" mentality. However many people we can get in and out the better. Not here. Time is taken to focus on the patient and his or her needs. They staff is comforting and are always so sweet to the children. 2. Cleanliness: Hospitals are one of the easiest places in which to get worse. If I'm sick, I do not like going to a hospital because I feel like it's inevitable, I will get worse. However, that doesn't seem to be the case here. Great care is taken to make sure all areas of the facility are properly cleaned and taken care of. There are many places for families to convene and meet that are kept neat and clean. 3. The cafeteria: Definitely one of my favorites out of approximately 35-40 that I visit annually. Breakfast is my meal of choice simply because I get there early, eat and then I'm lucky if I get out of the O.R. to get time to get another meal. I have had other meals here and I've never been disappointed. The choices are excellent, both healthy and otherwise. The service is friendly and quick and it is clean. The seating is also sort of "quaint" and the ambiance isn't cold and unwelcoming. It is actually a good place to grab a bite and relax. I feel that is important in a hospital because it is obviously a stressful environment already. 4. Here is where they lose a star: Parking. Yes, it's in the city, yes, parking structures are expensive, but it needs to be better. They do their best with what they have. The security is out there of a morning making sure employees are not taking up spots that visitors can use. Employees have their own lot, but try to park near the hospital out of convenience for themselves. I'm glad security is on it, though. If I had children, I would not hesitate to take them here. I like what they're doing with regards to patient care and creating a relaxing atmosphere.

Great signage to direct you through the building and a ton of helpful staff. The facility was clean, well lit and the decorations very children friendly. I was greeted again when I entered and asked what Dr I was going to see and directed accordingly. Very easy to navigate and I was in and out quickly.
