I have to say I am so happy I made the decision to attend Midwest Institute. I am now working full time as a medical assistant and I just graduated! From the day I enrolled the staff and my instructor were so supportive and encouraging. They really made me feel like they cared about my success. I never thought it would be this easy to feel confident about my career and my future. I truly want to thank Midwest Institute for giving me what I needed to be where I am today! read more

I would not suggest at all. Thought this program would get me ahead and only put me back farther. Very unorganized. Credits don't transfer as they're only nationally accredited where they need to be regionally accredited so if you're wanted to farther your education look into this before hand!!! Waste of money big time. Teachers weren't knowledgeable at all and couldn't help you. read more

I attended Midwest Institute for the HVAC program. During my time there we could never keep an instructor. When you look on Craigslist til this day it shows they are still having this same issue. We did not receive any type of training on duct work or air flow. Everything I learned was out working in the field, if I could give them a lower star rating I would. I would not recommend this school to anyone stay away. The instructors don't get fired they quit so its not the instructors its the program. P.S. Almost forgot they will tell you the HVAC program is accredited and it is not. read more

Never have I had this bad of an experience while trying to get information about school. I was attempting to get information via my phone and the website was so confusing. I used the only phone number I could find and the lady (Holly) I spoke with was extremely unhelpful. It was as if I was bothering her to get my information. I think there are better schools out there. read more

Run far away! They are very unorganized. I had a great class experience. I went for Medical Assisting and my teacher was Mr. B (Barrientes). He was awesome and we all loved him. I did great in school and was looking forward to getting out in the field. They never let me know the dates to go study for my registration, they never informed me or any other student that Mr. B quit and that's why he never called me back on his school phone line, it takes forever to get in contact with Jen in financial aid, the receptionist never leaves Jen or anyone else for that matter that I have called for her, they expect me to pay them all this money when they never once helped me actually find a job, their way of helping me find a job was me sitting there by myself at a computer applying to jobs (I can/did do that at home). Please don't waste your time and money here. I went to through some modules with a girl who always got at least a 97% on everything and SHE still doesn't have a job in our field. When Mr. B was around, he cared and always helped graduated students finding jobs. This school needs to be shut down. Please do not come here. You will be sad that you did. I regret it everyday that I went here. I'm more depressed because of it, and I'm scared to go back to school because of them. read more

Terrible experience I was doing the health information specialist program online. I was doing great the first half then the second half I had a great loss in my family and fell behind due to making arrangements and working full time also being a single mom. Not that that's an excuse but the point was I was falling behind and I should of reached out sooner or maybe for a school that "cares" so much they should of. Instead I received a email we got a new instructor. Then a few weeks later on a Monday another email from April Jones telling me I was falling behind and Wednesday she would send me what I needed to do to catch up instead that Wednesday I received a letter saying I was being let go from the program due to my attendance??? And that the new instructor had reached out to me multiple times. Which was a LIE!!! I asked her how I could appeal this and she told me to reach out to Amy. I explained the situation to her and she was HEARTLESS about it! I was doing great in the program had a bad month and just 3 short months left til I finished and they refused to give me the opportunity to catch up. I am extremely disappointed in Amy Pandolfo this program and wish I would of don't more research because they did nothing they said they would. read more

This school is a great place. I was able to get my certification and get a job in the field. It didn't take a long time and the classes were a challenge so I feel like I learned a lot. The teachers genuinely care about students and want us to succeed. I recommend anyone needing a career to check out the school. read more

Very unorganized. They kicked me out of my program because I missed to many days due to a car wreck & they said I didn't make up my hours when I did. I had proof. I had to fight them to be reinstated into my program. They lied about being accredited when I signed up (They weren't accredited at that time.) I became pregnant during my internship & was told I could not continue my internship while pregnant. I kept the messages stating I could not continue, all throughout my pregnancy because I wanted to continue after having my son. When I contacted them the 8 weeks after my pregnancy to continue my internship I was told I couldn't continue because of the "hours" I didn't make up from the days I missed because of my car wreck. Again, was not true. I sent them all messages I had kept and I told them I would be getting a lawyer. After all that mess, I was finally able to finish my internship. They are a joke. I wasn't the only one with issues as my cousin was also going there and there was issues with a very close friend of mine who attended WITH me at the same time and same location. Don't waste your money or time. I'm 14k in debt because of them lying about being accredited. read more

If I could give a negative review I would, where to start!! First off I was told several times that the credits transferred (i wasn't going to attend if they didn't because i wanted to continue my education) Guess what!!! They don't, ive called every college around and I got the same answer from all. And i had to explain over and over to the new students that came in that the credits DONT transfer even when they would argue that they do.. Also the faculty DOES NOT go by the rules, they let students slide by when they had evidence of them drinking achohol durning class and obvisoulsy smoking weed in the parking lot and showing up high.... I had filed several complaints and guess what!! NOTHING WAS DONE, i was told to just mind my own business, but it affected class big time because we were dealing with real instruments and blades.. The only reason i stayed was because my teacher (tammie) she was AWESOME, she was the reason why i finished, she actually cared about the students.. Our class alone had to have more than 4 teachers, they could not keep a teacher and just keep throwing in people, not professional. Moving on, i was told after i get done with my extern that they would keep track and help me get placed in a job and would keep me updated and keep on me, well GUESS what they havnt and it has been awful trying to look for a job... The head person of the surgical tech program made me feel like i was worthless and that she had control over everybody. I had to give up looking for jobs ever since i finished school... This school is a WASTE OF YOUR money.. do not go here, please... I have never gone to a school that made you feel like this and you should finish a program like this begging to take the almost 2 years back because the experience was horrible. read more

Fantastic school! I did my research and found all the programs are accredited through ABHES and have been for years. I had a great experience in class and with all the staff! read more
