Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and explained in detail the process although I couldn't always hear him because of the noise. We were given hard hats and eye protection while touring the warehouse for safety. The plastics from the orange hefty bag program are made into little pellets which are then made into plastic lumber which can be purchased factory direct for less than the big box stores charge. I had a small amount of aluminum a small amount of brass and the forklift operator told me to put it in a large bin which I did. Then when I went inside they refused to weigh it separately and try to make me take it out outside and put me in the back of the line again. I refuse to do that and went to the front office at which time they contacted a manager named Zac. He walked up to me and said" are you the guy that had the issue with the aluminum and brass,"-"(yes)- " it's probably best that you take your metal somewhere else from now on since you yelled at my guys and made a mess." I responded to him and said" you have no idea what you were talking about I did not yell at anyone or make any mess, and you are going to regret the way you spoke to me this morning." I went into the office to cash the ticket I had for my aluminum cans from earlier and advised the staff they will be getting a code compliance inspection as well as an OSHA inspection. I would discourage anyone from giving that business any of your time or money no matter how desperate you are. To treat a customer the way they treated me they will be out of business soon anyways.

Our normal company we use to use is slowing getting out of the business. We had to find someone and pretty quick. We looked up Absolute Recycling. The driver Ray was awesome. He was on-time, professional and very courteous. He explained all the details, cleaned up what little mess there was. He even had oil absorbent pads for his gear and feet as to not leave a mess. Tom also agreed to purchase several pieces of equipment from us, but we received payment for only part of what he took. Most concerning, our 100-gallon fuel tank never arrived at the storage facility and remains unaccounted for. Based on our experience with the handling of our property, the incomplete payment, and the missing fuel tank, we cannot recommend this company. Anyone considering using this business should create a detailed inventory, photograph every item, and put all payment and delivery terms in writing.

The design of the cart makes it easy to wheel to the curb even when it is full of heavy magazines and newspapers. The bi-weekly pick up schedule is well timed for my situation as the cart is usually full after two weeks. I have used the Recycle Bank rewards program to purchase gift cards, movie tickets and magazine subscriptions and have been pleased with that process.
