Yelp kept on showing San Francisco as our location which is inaccurate. We are residents of Rock Island, IL. We are grateful to have found Midwest Complete Construction to replace our roof including the flat roof for our front porch. We have solicited a total of 7 bids before signing up with Midwest Complete Construction. (1) High quality of work with competitive price The crew has done a meticulous job cleaning up the old planks (vintage house), covering with new OSB, and installing new shingles. The completion of flat roof was equally well done. The post-installation clean-up is spotless so that one would not even know that the crew was there. Meanwhile, in light of the competitive pricing, we believe the company has provided highly value added services. (2) Transparent and timely communication Phillip is our project manager. He always keeps us posted of every step of the process: before, during, and after the project. Especially, we were on a tight schedule to get the roof done before getting approved by our insurer for continuation of insurance coverage (by the way, be aware of some insurance companies who randomly pick on homeowners and give short notice) . Phillip understood our predicament, put our interest at his priority, and worked around the complexity of project management to ensure our roofing to be completed before the deadline. He is also very knowledgeable about the structure of the vintage house in general which put us at ease. I was in the process of selling my home and the inspection showed I had damage due to hail, whole new roof needed. This is about the worst news you can hear less than two weeks from a closing. I had seen Midwest Complete on Paula Sands Live a couple of days prior and decided to call. They came out the next day and I explained the situation, I had a quote within a couple of days AND told me they would be able to complete the job BEFORE closing. Due to the derecho storm I never thought I'd even be able to get a quote prior to closing let alone get the job done. I had a large home and they completed it in one day. They arrived at 6:30 a.m. and left at 8:30 p.m. They worked hard thru rain, heat and bugs and did a fantastic job. Cleaned up the yard spotlessly. Best to work with a local company. We needed a new roof due to hail damage from last year. Called MCC and they came right away to provide an estimate when other companies never even returned my call. Phil the project manager worked with our insurance to minimize our cost to only the insurance deductible. Phil was always polite, professional and responsive. The work was scheduled quickly. I was very impressed with the roofing crew. They basically worked from sun up to sun down. They completed a full tear off, repaired some wood damage, and put down 45 squares of shingles in one day! They were literally walking around with magnets and cleaning up at 8:30 at night. The next day MCC sent someone to go around the house with a magnet again to pick up any stray nails. We have worked with Dave and Kris on past projects with great success. They are involved owners who treat you with respect. We met Tony Pauly on that project and he has assisted us on other home issues. Tony was our first call with the recent hail damage on our home. He quickly came out and advised us to report the damage to our Insurance Company. Tony communicated with our Insurance Adjuster, identifying the damaged areas, and we had a quick resolution. Tony and his team arrived early one very hot day to replace our roof. They worked all day, into the night, to finish our roof before a drenching rain the next morning. We had a front portico installed on our home that involved with with the Moline city zoning and building inspector as well as had an entire gutter system and leaf guards installed. The project took a some time but at each step of the way, Howard and Dave worked with us and the city to get the project approved and finished. This was a custom project that involved rought cut white cedar post and extisting roof tie ins. We were extremely pleased with the craftsmenship and quality of their work and their flexibility to get exactly what we wanted. We are very pleased that we contacted Midwest Complete Construction. The work was done at our home out in the country. The crew arrived and tackled the roofing job and completed it in 2 days. We had Midwest Complete Construction do a total bathroom remodel. They removed a jetted tub which they transformed into a wonderful tiled shower, and removed the tiny shower stall which they turned into a huge linen closet. Their crew was very careful with the floor which was only 1 year old and each day the cleanup was great. With all of the subs it took a bit to get them in for our job but after demo, the vanities, electrical, plumbing, and painting were completed in an acceptable time. The project manager also frequently touched base to keep us apprised of the process, timeline, and any quirks of the project. We would recommend them for any of your construction needs. read more

Would highly recommend Midwest construction Rock Island, IL. They completed 4 projects for us totaling $41,000. We had them do a new roof, gutters, soffits, and a very large deck. Phil the project manager kept us informed as much as possible . He was extremely nice, very easy going and a pleasure to work with. With the exception of a few hiccups during our deck build, they kept us pretty close to the agreed upon price. Very reasonable. We had a mudroom added to the side of the house. Through a year of delays from the city, MCC was able to satisfy the us and the city. Addition looks great. During the build we made many more modification requests to satisfy our needs and wants. MCC handled all our requests to our satisfaction. The crews were professional and friendly, Howard kept us in the loop with progress updates and suggestions. Even with the additional items we added, cost was still respectable. I thought these guys did a wonderful job on our roof, siding & windows. Even taking the delays caused by the pandemic into consideration they were able to get the job done. Their work was high quality. The only negative thing would cleaning up the job site. It was very windy and debris from the shingles and other supplies blew around the neighborhood. We notified the boss and he came out and got it cleaned up. I would recommend them and will be using them again for our next project. read more

We were happy with the promptness of Midwest Complete Construction. The roof and gutter contractors they used got our roof done in a timely manner. We did notice nails and gutter scraps in the yard and on our deck, so cleanup could have been better but wasn't horrible either.
