I waited a year to write a review because I wanted to see how everything worked out. Megan was a terrific sales person and the installer did a terrific job although he was hampered somewhat by having to work on his own, so it took three days to complete instead of one. I think a bit more communication between the guy who came out to check the site before installation would have been useful as our design put the shower valve on an outside wall so the installer had to run some extra piping and insulation, i.e. built an additional wall to prevent possible freezing, which required me to run to Rockford to get some parts he didn't have. The other design issue is the location of the hand shower holder just about and left of the shower valve. When I stand under rain-head (a waste of money by-the-way) my elbow bashes right into it. If I could move it I would. These are MY errors of placement, not the company's, just a heads up for you if you are designing something unusual, which we were, for my wheelchair-bound wife. But, it would have been nice had the pre-install visit considered these problems. A satisfactory experience, but if I were to do it over again, I would change the placement of things. read more

When the salesman came to the house to give his pitch I asked how to take advantage of the one year no payments or interest and he had no idea. He told me I would have to negotiate that with the bank in the financing portion of the sale which he left for me to deal with online after he left. He assured me that I would get an email the following morning which would be my copy of the sales agreement. In reality they gave me the runaround with the finance company and it was more than 3 weeks before I had my copy of the agreement. One week after I had my copy of the agreement the contractor came and did the install. They said it would take 1.5 days but it was 3 very long days for them to finish because my sub-floor wasn't level. The contractor was polite and very curtious and communicated well everything he did. Then there was another month of runaround with Midwest and the finance company before I was told exactly what my monthly payment would be and when the payments would begin. I gave Midwest 2 stars because the contractor was polite and communicated well. He even tried to step in and resolve the runaround I was getting. I suggest you do business with a company with a good reputation for customer support which Midwest did a horrible job at with me. read more

I filled out a form on their website saying I was interested in a quote. We then got bad news about our well which was going to be costly and decided against going with them. I called and told them we had changed our minds....I have emailed them. I have spoken to them when they called and told them this. The guy argued with me and said it was "just for a quote". When i told them to take my number off their call list he was snarky with me. These guys are aggressive and will keep harassing you despite you telling them you aren't interested...its insane. If they're that desperate for your business, what does that tell you? Look elsewhere. read more

Midwest Bath is scamming my elderly mother-in-law by telling her she is under contract for a bathroom remodel when in fact she told the rep she didn't want it. And after my mother-in-law told them there was no way she could afford the remodel, Midwest Bath will not back down and are refusing to cancel this supposed "order". Our tub cracked over 2 months ago and they still haven't come out to replace it, said it's on backorder. We had issues with the faucet breaking in the tub. Took forever for someone to come out and tell us it's a bad design. My husband was able to fix it himself. One of the shelves had the caulking coming off and when they finally came to look at the faucet they used clear caulk on it instead of white. Looks odd to say the least. I'm not happy with their communication with us at all. read more

I was not thrilled with the service I received or the quality of the product for the excessive cost. It was not a one day install, but I was told by one of their reps who saw the photographs that it was a simple job, but just in case to schedule a few hours the next day. A "few hours the next day" ended at 7:30 p.m. that next night. I have several friends in construction who saw the final project and declared it, "Certainly wasn't worth $12K!", and I agree. It looks like a standard tub surround and the cost was excessive. My worker, A, was a very nice man, but he didn't get started until after 10:00 a.m. the first day ending about 5:30p.m. And the next day he started about 9:00 a.m. and had to leave late afternoon saying he had to go get a piece of 1/4 round molding and would be right back and was gone for 2 hours. He didn't leave my home that second day until 7:30 p.m. He took the door off my electrical panel and never put it back on. There was wet drywall mess and steel shavings from pipes being cut on the basement floor. By then, it was late and I was exhausted with the whole fiasco and told him to just go and I would clean it up. He also lefts strips of plastic wall board on my lawn which I didn't discover until after the snow melted. So, considering the promise of a one day install that turned into two very long days, the quality of service, the quality of the product, and the excessive costs when the commercials claim it's "Affordable", and the ads are aimed at retired, elderly, and disabled people, no I wouldn't give them a good review, or refer anyone to have an installation by their company! Anyone else notice the price gouging going on by these companies since Covid? In fact, I think I will put this review on YELP! read more

A few months ago, We set up a day and time for them to come give us a free in-home estimate. The weekend before, we got a confirmation voicemail and tried calling back with no response. Five minutes AFTER they were supposed to be at our home, they called and asked when we'd like to reschedule because we never confirmed our appointment. We told them we would be looking elsewhere for a company to do the work. Ever since then, I keep getting calls asking if we're going to work with them and when they can come. I've told them repeatedly we've gone another direction and won't need their services - the calls keep coming. read more

Do not hire Midwest Bath. Their sales rep will tell lies in response to your questions to get your signature on a contract. They do not honor print advertising or tv ads for discounts. I paid $16,000+ for removal of a tub and installation of a walk in shower. Four months later all repairs have not been made, despite multiple phone calls, multiple emails, multiple text messages and multiple visits by their installers. It took six weeks after the initial install to get someone back to finish the exposed wall and replace the defective shower head. (See pix). The operation manager visited my home and told me to my face, "You really got screwed." Four months from install I still have water splattering on my tile floor from under the shower door. That would be the same tile floor where the installer chipped a floor tile and covered it with a rug. The follow-up print mailing from Midwest Bath states "...if for any reason you aren't THRILLED with our team's service, please call us right now at (888) 838-7138 or email dsteagall@midwestbath.com so we can make it right." I have emailed, texted and called and received only false promises. I have also tried to reach the parent company, Sage Home, in Georgia. No one will respond to email requests or return telephone calls. This seems a little odd for a company that is trying to become "the industry leader in bathroom remodels for people who want to gracefully age in place." read more

I had my walk in shower installed two days before Christmas. Was nervous about the timing because I was hosting Christmas Eve family party for 27 people! Company reassured me they would be in and done in plenty of time! They were! The guy was so efficient and right on target, professional and experienced! Great job Midwest! Product is top notch, will enjoy forever :) They came from Moline to Dyersville Iowa, He stayed overnight night in town and finished in the morning! He said he's an early bird so am I.
