I used to think it didn't really matter what Title company was used in a real estate transaction, until I worked with Midtown. First of all - it turned out, my transaction was a little more complicated than most (involving attorneys), and not only were they able to handle EVERYTHING, but they did it with very minimal stress to me. I knew, 100%, they were doing everything necessary to properly handle the situation, which got resolved, thanks to them! Secondly - there were little things they did. I used Midtown when I purchased my house. They lost my title. When I tried to get it after they sent me a halfhearted apology and a terrible photocopy. The original is somewhere in the ether. The owner Ed is the stereotype of an unscrupulous lawyer. Doesn't even bother returning emails. There are a lot of good title companies in Texas. No need to support the apathetic. read more
