We had just landed in Istanbul, checked into our hotel and needed a spot to eat at that was not at the hotel. We asked the front desk where we should go and they suggested the nearby mall. We were given directions and we walked out of the hotel. We found the mall and entered. There is a security check at the entrance with metal detector for your bags. We walked around and found Midpoint. The menu was extensive which is why we decided to sit and eat. I ordered the pita kofte dish which was supposed to come with pita but it came on a bun like a burger. Fries and a small salad of onions, tomatoes, and peppers were also served on the side. There was a noticeable lack of any sauce. No ketchup was offered so it was a little dry. I also tried the sangria and my husband ordered one of the beers. The food was fine but wasn't spectacular. The cafe was mostly empty and we could smell the smoke wafting in from the outside patio. Service was mostly fine and we tried our best to communicate. They took credit cards as payment. read more
