I got 2 sandwiches - one with chicken, lettuce and tomato, and one with ham. I liked the ham one better than the one with chicken, but they were both good and the bread and ingredients were very fresh. The ham one had butter, the ham was spicy and flavorful, and I wanted more after it was done. The sandwiches were 4.80 euros each, which was totally reasonable. The baked goods were even better, as I got the chocolatine (chocolate croissant), for around 1 euro and it was super flaky, with many layers, and the right amount of chocolate inside. I wish I could have eaten 2 of them. We also got a tarte aux pommes (apple tart) which was equally as delicious: flaky, not too sweet, with a decent amount of sliced apples on top. I wish I could have tried more of their things, but really glad I had a chance to try a variety of savory and salty things. I would definitely come back here again and recommend it if you're in Bordeaux.

It was almost 2:30-3pm when we decided to give Plan B a try because of their prices and handful of reviews on Yelp. The inside of the sandwich shop was very rustic with a nice eclectic feel. All the tables were full but we were able to snag a table that came open soon after arriving. A friendly waiter came over to take our order. The menu was not extensive. There were about a dozen sandwiches to choose from and the option to get the handheld in a combo (+drink or drink+dessert). The better deal was to go with a combo so we did. After waiting a couple of minutes our sandwiches were brought out and they were delicious. Very simple yet made with quality fresh ingredients to give you a healthy lunch. I had Le Mama without tomatoes and I really enjoyed it. For dessert we opted to try a chocolate brownie to cleanse the palate. I think what added to this experience was the ambiance and gorgeous day outside. Being able to say we were enjoying a sandwich in the cafes of Bordeaux is pretty fantastic, no? Since we wanted to split our food, we ordered individual galettes and a dessert crêpe instead. We tried the Bil galette with ham, egg, and Emmental cheese, as well as the Biloude, which added mushrooms. Both had nicely crisp buckwheat edges with generous fillings and perfectly cooked eggs. For dessert, we shared the Lolotte crêpe with banana and melted chocolate, which was rich, indulgent, and perfect for sharing. The prices are fair, the portions are satisfying, and the atmosphere is relaxed.
