Have been driving by this park for years going back & forth to Babies/Toys in Woburn and one day…read morejust decided to stop in... Love the park (at least from the street) The Big one loved the maze climby things... However, there is no walkway to get from the big park to the little park in the back without having to walk out of the park and all the way around... There are stairs (but with a baby stroller) I had to walk out and all the way around - Not far, just had to make sure my child didn't face plant off the jungle gym while I was running all the way around!

This is a review of the playground. My nephews like it a lot. We call it the "Spiderman playground" because it has these awesome rope-structures you can climb and navigate. When they were 3 or 4, it was a bit difficult, but not impossible to use the rope structure. Now that they are over 5 - it's perfect for them. It also has a lower section of the playground which has some swings and a typical playground jungle-gym thing. It's cool. They always like exploring this place. It has that weird bouncy-floor surface thing going on which is always a plus. It's a bit sunny though - even though there are trees around, there's really no good shade on the lot - so it does get a bit weary on us adults. Ice cream truck usually stops by - awesome. Street-parking only. I think. The field is kind of tucked away behind the "tot lot". It's not a terribly big playground, but it is fenced in from the street and it's worth a visit if you're in the area with your kids.

Cute area. It's nice to sit down and just read a book. I imagine this is a dream come true for…read moreparents in the area. The main draw for me are the tennis courts. They're not the best but they're close by and I can use them. Wholefoods and Rite-Aid are close by and once in a while I've spotted the Kona Ice truck. I'd stop by here more often for non-tennis needs but there are usually some happy noisy kids running around and they don't need a grumpy grown-up (hah, that's a funny one) to rain on their parade.

Let me tell you who can be: * Parents with children (there's a great play place) * Children who are old enough to not have supervision * Folk who want to play basketball * Folk who want to play soccer * Folk who want to play tennis * Anyone who is craving a nice book and NICE (note: not burnt) grass to lay on * Dog walkers There's a semi-nice view of the Charles River from the park (although, it goes right into an industrial part of Allston, which isn't so great). Watch out for the traffic on River Street and Memorial Drive (although I believe there's a large fence). Also, if you're craving some sort of snack or ice cream, take your choice of Rite Aid, Whole Foods, 7-11, Dunkin Donuts or be thrifty and bring your own stuff!

This park has two baseball fields, tennis courts, basketball courts and a kid's playground. One of the swings in the playground actually supported my weight and swung easily. This totally brought back memories of me when I would beg my parents to take me to a playground with a swing because my neighbors were hogging the swing that was in my grandpa's backyard. During winter, you can see kids sledding on the small hill. Between 0430 to 0630pm, you can see people bringing their dogs before sunset. It's really fun to see the dogs hop around the snow like bunnies although it's not so fun when you accidentally step on sniper poop that is hiding in the snow patiently waiting to make a squishy impact with your snowboot. During the summer, parents of furry children hang out and drink beers and enjoy the relaxing weekend. All of the pet owners seem to be responsible and they only bring friendly/socialized dogs. Some even bring enough water to share with the other dogs so that no dog is forced to chug nasty mud water that sometimes hang around in the corners of the park. I just love how everyone is friendly, both canine and human. The only drawback is that the park is not completely fenced in so if you have a psychotic dog like mine, get ready to chase after your furry child so that he/she doesn't get hit by a car. Also, I wish that during the summer, they keep the lights on everyday, even if it's just for a few hours. I noticed that they only keep it on when there's a soccer or baseball match.
