What's funny is a day or so before the visit, I was telling myself how I wanted more buttoned short sleeved shirts & I found two at great prices. Both shirts were $10 a piece & there were other pieces I went back & forth on that averaged around $8-15. I look forward to coming back more often because I enjoyed a lot of selections that weren't in my size, which made me on the hunt for more of the inventory whenever it's updated. As much merchandise that's in this store, it's organized and clean. Prices are irregular. For the most part, prices are reasonable. It is the Assistance League's store, a nonprofit volunteer organization offering community programs to fill needs such as providing school uniforms, essential items to kids in foster care, meals and other services. That means that you're supporting a great cause when you shop at this thrift store. This is not a large store but they have a great variety of items. Sometimes I have to be in the mood to sort through stuff to dig and find something at larger stores. That is not the case here. They do a great job of selecting and labeling the items and have quality pieces. It is full of unexpected treasures, like vintage brands and jewelry. I found the perfect job interview outfit here along with vintage round pearl earrings and professional blazers. The volunteers are super nice and helpful. New merchandise is put on the floor daily and each item is priced very affordably. Apart from their clothing sections, they also sell accessories, shoes, home furnishings, linens, antiques, collectibles, books and furniture. They accept donations during store hours and all donations are tax deductible.

After spending a rainy afternoon perusing the shop, being inquisitive about the items there and getting to know the people who are making this shop happen, I somehow felt connected to the the owners. I don't know the owners in any other capacity beyond being a patron of their business. However, I am looking forward to my next visit to make a donation to their shop. So no, they are definitely not giving me any freebies. Lol The couple who run the store bring a good vibe to the space and everyone who entered while I was there contributed to it. I sensed a space of community. I am more inclined to support businesses where everyone working or shopping there seems content to be there. The selection is reasonably priced. The items are in good condition. I appreciate the range of variety and the quantities in each category. They have a little of everything. Not too much, and not too little. Of what they do have, it's of utility. The exterior is decorated with creations the resourceful shopkeepers put together by repurposing items that were not sellable nor usable for their intended purposes. I didn't ask if those works of art or items of new utility were for sale. If you happen to find yourself roaming along hwy 97/alt hwy 75 I recommend stopping by the former bread store next to the funeral home.
