had brakes worked on @ competitor, still had brake leak took to midas on 6/5/2025 to check break leak, midas said they changed steel brake line, charged 201.91, returned to competitor to make right, they put on lift and showed me no new steel brake line. midas charged me for something they never did, PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR YOUR PEASE OF MIND AND SAFETY. they can not be worst, I hope. read more

BEWARE!!! BEWARE!!! BEWARE!!! I took one of the vehicle to Midas for an oil change and inspection. The next day the check engine light came on. I took the car to a local Chevy dealership. They told me that the check engine light was on because the air filter was damaged during the oil change and inspection. After spending $193.05 at the Chevy dealer I called Midas. The service manager said he couldn't make a decision on this issue. He said he would call his boss and call me back in a couple of hours. That was four days ago. Very unprofessional, under new management. I was quoted $1396.00 to swap out a manual transmission. Upon picking up the car, manager named Tad informed me, the final bill was $1542.00. I said wth, Tad had added a fee for flushing an automatic Transmission fluids, to get more $ out of me. It's a manual transmission!! When I refused to pay the extra service fee, he threatened to call the cops, so I paid the bill, I don't need to talk to police unnecessarily. After a few choice words, I paid the bill, told Tad I would put the incident in a review. I also stated, I would be holding the shop to their 90 day warranty, Tad's response: "we will see about that, now get the f@$k out of my shop" I have filed a complaint with the corporate office as well. read more

While driving to FL from IL to see my wife for Memorial day weekend. I broke down near Frankfort IN. I managed to get pulled by a local man in a Jeep to Midas. Once at midas, two techs jump on my Jeep to find the problems. I was getting a misfire. They start singling out certain common problems. Once that was over it was for the ugly part, pulling the valve cover to find out the exhaust valve was not opening. a few wrench turns later. I was back in business. I want to thank Ray, Chad,Levi,Amy and the others that I can't remember their name. These people went above an beyond what any shop I have ever worked in or been to have ever done. I had a coupon for $19.99 that I found on their website. But was charged 24.14. There was $2.71 for shop supplies on my bill. So I asked the manager, who was cashing me out, what they needed to use that's not included in the $19.99. He said everything is included. I asked why I am paying more then. He could not answer me nor take care of me, pointing at the bill 'see the oil change is only $19.99.' I asked again 'then what is that line for?' 'Shop supplies' he replies again. $2.71 shouldn't break anyone's bank but I will not support a company that charges people and doesn't know what the charge is for. read more

Brought my Magnum in for to have some tires put on and they pointed out some issues with the car. Issues that I was aware of but did not know how bad they had gotten. They made sure to answer all of my questions and go through all the repairs needed, labor costs, parts cost, etc. They seemed really knowledgeable so we agreed to get the work done. They kept in contact with me during the repairs and gave me updates on parts etc. The car did have a hiccup after but true to their word they took care of it without charging me another dime. Overall great guys and I will be back when it is too cold for me to do my own repairs. read more

Typical bait and switch. My wife was told because she selected the "better" level of service (not the "best") they "assumed she wanted full synthetic service". She has argued this point on more than one visit. Due to the convenience, and giving the benefit of the doubt, we have tried to keep our money local. I spent $650 on entirely new brakes (rotors/pads). After I left the started squeezing really loud so I took them to the Midas in Plainfield, IN because it's closer to my house. The Plainfield Midas said there was metal on the brakes that needed blown off. Then I had to come back again to the Plainfield Midas because the brakes were still squealing! Now they are saying that the Frankfort store did a bad job and I have to drive 1 and 1/2 hours back to that store to either demand they upgrade the cheap pads they put on or get my money back...needless to say after this I won't be going back to Midas again. The stores don't even honor the name they share and push blame off on each other instead of fixing the problem. read more

Worst place ever. These mechanics do not know how to diagnose or repairs vehicles. They made my car worse than when I brought it to them and put on parts that weren't even needed. They were never able to tell me what they did to mess it up even more and admitted they didn't know what was wrong with it in the first place.
