So, I haven't really taken a great interest in granite before, but recently got a new kitchen and suddenly it became my new pet subject. My kitchen maker recommended Mid Ulster Granite and I'm so glad he did. This company makes both kitchen worktops and headstones and memorials, so a visit to the show room is a slightly surreal experience where you pass samples of headstones before you discuss your new kitchen.
The showroom isn't the fanciest I've ever been in, but they have a fantastic range of granite and marble for counter tops - lots of colours and everything from totally plain to beautifully shot with crystallised bits. You can the go out to the yard to see the ones you like in huge sheets which is a great way to see what a bigger piece will look like. This is a great bonus as most places will only have small samples which makes it hard to imagine it in your kitchen.
Ask for Lisa and you'll get great friendly service and when the guys come to fit your work tops, they are really pleasant too. They also do a quick efficient job and leave absolutely no mess behind.
