I could not have been happier with the quality work and service I received today. This is not a franchise business but a company started by the owner and the technician. Rest assured you're going to get the best service that anyone could provide. It all started with the communication as soon as I booked an appointment and a notification when he was on his way to my home. I got all that plus probably the best price out there as well. All those big companies charge you more and do not provide this kind of quality work. Also his equipment is clean. He is clean so you don't have to worry about anybody tracking somebody else's filth it to your home. I will use this company over and over again. I can assure you.

I manage a storage facility and these guys borrowed one of our dollies that are here as a…read moreconvenience for TENANT use on the property. Movers should have their own. They loaded it into their truck with stuff on it, closed the door and took it with them. I followed up with my tenant (their customer) and they told her they dropped it off, but ghosted her when she asked them where they put it. We have a non-return fee (because of people like this), and she was afraid of being charged. She gave me their name, I called and he was immediately defensive, said "we dropped it off", then proceeded to talk over me. When I finally got a chance to speak, I asked where they put it -*click*- he hung up on me. We have 16 cameras and not one of them show them returning it anywhere on our property over the weekend. Look, I get it's "just a dolly" but it's the blatant dishonesty and lack of integrity that's so disappointing. It takes the convenience away from our tenants, and costs us as a small business to replace it.

The previous rating (first one, from a lady who it seems has a vendetta...) is a real bummer,…read morethough I was not there, I find it hard to believe. Eddrel (owner) was humble and kind from the first interaction I had with him when he reached out to me via my yelp "project" posting to help move a large piece of gym equipment from my garage to my second floor. Not an easy task, as the machine weighs almost 500lbs, and there is no way I would've got it done myself even with the help of some of my friends. He and his help got the job done quickly without causing any damage, taking all necessary precautions with blankets and straps. He made sure with measurements, asked plenty of questions, and did a walk through before moving anything to ensure the actual move would go smoothly. After the heavy lifting was done, he and his crew cleaned up after themselves and then made sure I was happy with the placement. It was exactly where I asked them to put it. He told me up front he would charge a minimum of two hours, but after it was all said and done asked for less than he originally quoted (and his quote was the most reasonable I received out of 3). He was kind and polite and I have already recommended him to others, and I'll use him again if I have more to move.

Update since last review 4 months ago. Almost immediately after posting my review, I received a…read morecall from Carl. He apologized for the poor communication and said that he would make me 2 sets of keys. He lost the set I left with him, so I gave him the key codes for the 3 keys that he lost and waited. While waiting for the keys, I went camping from April 10-13. During this time, I noticed that several electrical outlets were not working. Upon investigation, I found wires cut that were not reconnected, rendering 5 outlets out of commission. I called Carl and we set up a date for him to pick up the trailer to fix the problem. I asked him to put a junction box under the sink where the electrical repairs would be made as that would be a cleaner, more reliable repair. He kept the trailer for a week, as agreed upon, and delivered it to my storage space on May 4. He brought a single key to the trailer door with him, and said he forgot to grab the other keys (storage bin locks and hitch lock). Again, he apologized and said he would mail them to me. I texted a week later and asked if they were mailed and received no response. I texted again on May 26, and he responded and said they were mailed on May 22. It's June 4 and I still don't have the keys that I have been trying to get since last October. In addition, I just got back from camping again and, although the circuit now works, he did not install the junction box as I requested. He even said that he did when he dropped it off. Finally, and I say finally because I am done trying to resolve any other issues with this company, my air conditioning hasn't worked right since I got the trailer back. They didn't work on the A/C, but they did reseal the roof. It may just be coincidence, but based upon my experience with this company, I wonder if they did something to make it work less efficiently than before. I guarantee that there are better options in the area to get your work done, but if you choose to go with Spencer Janes, be prepared for poor communication, subpar work and lies.
