The owner Dee Dee Muncy and her Bear Boyfriend picked us up at the "station" (it's a 24 hour pilot gas station and McDonalds combined). They do NOT get cars from auctions. They have personal buyers that they deal with. Kinda classy to me. Well anyhoo, they have some really nice cars on the lot and there was our new child. My partner took it for a test drive while I stayed behind and already knew we were driving back to Chicago in it Saturday evening. And yes, we did!! If you go to their website, it'll show you the cars she has. Among the other clean and sharp vehicles, PLEASE check out the double black Chevy SS Turbocharged Monte Carlo with the spoiler, mag wheels and sunroof. If we had enough money we would have bought that too!! It's so awesome!! Dee Dee runs a VERY clean dealership. She and her Bear Boyfriend are super duper friendly. She was so worried that we had traveled over 200 miles and weren't going to like this car. We got the car for a song!!! And it's beautiful inside and out. It was EXACTLY what we wanted!!! It's easier to do cash really when you deal with her because if you do, she'll be so kewl and knock a few dollars off of it for ya!! There's no kind of pressure tactics, they don't follow you around the lot. She sets it all up and your plates/title will be mailed to you. And if you want something she doesn't have, she has a locator service that'll find it for ya. She also operates her own towing company. It was an auto buying experience that we truly treasured. We already decided when we need another vehicle, we'll take that bus trip down to her. We were not scared to get on the road and drive down I-57 in our growly monster. Her cars are completely reliable. I know it's a long way to go to buy an vehicle but you'll be so glad you did, and you won't leave their dealership all bummed out/disappointed. Unlike many other places, what you see on their website...that's EXACTLY the way it looks in person. Arm yourself with some cash for the transaction and get there!! I found the listing on one of those auto websites. Being a bit of a deal hunter I wasn't going to make a final decision without considering all my options. I was a little worried that the trip wouldn't be worth it but all fears were set aside once I met with the dealer and saw the car. The car was exactly as listed. No tricks, surprises, or hidden problems. On top of that, it had a VERY competitive price-tag. What they asked for was completely reasonable. My dealer, Steve, was extremely honest and did not try to hide anything. He was honest in his business practices and very personable. He did not come across as desperate or any other stereotypical car salesman trope. He explained to us that Hosick lists their cars competitively to attract online shoppers. Having such honest business practices gets Hosick more customers in the long-run (as opposed to trying to squeeze as much $$$ out of you has possible). I would highly recommend checking out their lot if you are looking to buy. Hosick was well worth my trip. Ask for Steve, he will take care of you :)
