I ordered a pair of transition safety glasses told me they would still darken in equipment as I am in equipment and in a shop. So i got them they did not darken at all in equipment so they are worthless to me. They would end up getting damaged if i had to constantly change from sun glasses to clear glasses. Asked for refund and was told they dont do refunds so just wasted over $300 on something I can't use at all. read more

OK optometrist, but good Lord the prices! Absolutely outrageous. On top of that they are total sticklers on getting a new exam and Rx every 12 months. If you are one day over, they refuse to give you your glasses Rx until you get re-examined. Will stay up the hill and wait for our local optometrist. read more

I will be back. I married into the Dalles community and my husband has always gone to Dr. Perkins. He was super friendly and helpful explaining why and how my eyes have changed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking was an issue, I had to park quite a ways away and walk. They are next door to a dentist and a few other businesses also with street parking, so make sure you have time to park and walk incase there aren't any spaces. My appointment took about an hour, with a few extra tests that aren't routine. I didn't buy glasses with them, but my husband did back in April. When they came in to be picked up, something was defective and so they were very good about fixing the problem. I however get my glasses at Costco. I got two pairs of prescription glasses and one pair of prescription sunglasses that I LOVE for less than the price of a high end pair at their office. Plus they normally have coupons off for each extra pair. Will be back next year for my yearly exam! read more

Very pleased with my first visit to see Dr. LeBreton and Mid-Columbia Vision Center. Front staff was pleasant and friendly. Office was easy to find and welcoming. Easy street side parking in front I did not have to wait long for the assistant or the doctor. Impressed with efficiency and thoroughness of the doctor. His manner is easy going and collaborative. Dr. LeBreton demonstrated a wide range of knowledge not only in his specialty, but how his specialty connects with overall good health. Very relieved to finally find a doctor that "gets" my condition - Dr. LeBreton is the first in over 30 years to propose a course of treatment rather out of hand dismiss my condition as just something I have to live with. Dr. LeBreton specializes in vision therapy, so if you have an eye condition that might respond to it, make an appointment to talk it over! This doctor is a VSP network doctor and I found the name on my insurance website; and even though I "eeny-meeny-miney-mohed" my way to Mid-Columbia, I am highly satisfied (and relieved) with my pick! I did not get much time to look at the selection of frames, but there seems to be a fair amount for this sized office in this sized town. I would suggest paying the extra $25 for the newer eye scan; it wasn't covered by my insurance but I'm glad I got it because you can just see way more detail than the older traditional scans. read more

I first want to say that the doctors here are amazing. I had no issues with them. The entire concept of the place is what bothers me. I went in and got an eye exam, my fee was $75. When I went to use Care Credit they said it had to be $100. So I paid. Then I went back to order contacts, of which I was told I have to order 24 pairs for the right eye, which is a lot and six for the left. Anyhow, I knew it would be over $100, in fact, it was $170, so I ordered, then I was told it had to be over $200 for me to use Care Credit. I asked for my prescription, walked out and said they just lost my business. They advertise Care Credit, they just don't let you use it. I will never go back and have since ordered from someone else, and guess what, I didn't have to order 24 pairs. I feel bad for the doctors there who have to go along with the money-grubbing order of business there. read more

I have been going to Mid-Columbia Vision Center for a couple of years and I like my doctor, Dr. Haynes, for he is easy to talk with and listens to you. He is very knowledgeable and explains the treatment he feels you need. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend them if you are looking for a new eye doctor.
