The fairways were wide and the rough was low. The greens were receptuve and rolled great. I'm a fan of medium-fast greens with break. There are forced carries over water, but the closer tee boxes take some of them out of play. There were a few blind shots - but, maybe I didn't hit the first shot far enough! There's water, wind & elevation changes! I had a field day! Please don't ruin my course. Drop sand in your divots and repair the ball marks! I hope this place is gorgeous for a long time! We have received record amounts of rain lately so the course was cart path only. The course was wet in places but very playable and fantastic. Overall the course is in great shape and beautiful to the eye. We enjoyed the first 18 so much we played another nine. The staff here is friendly and accommodating. Clubhouse is nice and accommodating also. Tom Jackson designed a gem here and the staff has made it a must play with their conditioning. Treat yourself to a beautiful course that you will want to play again. We plan to return soon and enjoy it all over again!

Nothing is cookie cutter, everything is well maintained, lots of stately homes well manicured lawns , families, retirees , working people, a good mix. People are friendly and the value for a large home is unbelievable coming from Florida where 500k gets you very little these days. The Windemere club was less impressive. It was dark and dated and badly in need of a refresh. I guess in a community where homes sell in a flash, this country club needs to elevate its game with newer clubs like Cobblestone drawing people in , Windemere Club is a step behind.
