Under new ownership with guys that actually know bikes. I would definitely recommend buying a bike from here if you want a good experience. Chuck was a excellent salesman and they gave me an amazing deal on my Harley Electra Glide Five star review Thank you Heads Harley read more

I traveled over two and a half hours each way specifically to shop at this store. I purchased a pair of Harley boots, and I only wore them once for about 20 minutes during a ride. I found that they didn't feel comfortable, and I decided to return them. Because of the distance, returning the boots isn't easy, but I had all the necessary items--receipt, box, and tags--to facilitate the return. When I approached the store, the manager told me that since I didn't meet their 30-day return policy and because I had worn the boots once, they couldn't process a refund. However, I know that's not true. Most shoe stores will accept returns if the shoes are unworn, with tags attached, and within a reasonable timeframe. I explained this to her, but she insisted she couldn't help. She then suggested I try to sell the boots on Marketplace, which I found unacceptable given that I paid $230 for them and would not recoup that amount selling them secondhand. I made it clear that I wasn't going to accept that explanation, and I told her this would be the last time I shop at that store. Instead, I plan to drive the extra hour to Lake of the Ozarks Harley, where I know I'll be treated fairly. read more

I was highly disappointed with my experience here. Their used inventory pricing is inflated, and their trade-in valuations are entirely out of line with the market. To put it in perspective, Smokey Mountain Harley will sell you a brand-new bike with the exact same motor for about the same price they are asking for used. When attempting to negotiate a deal with a few added extras, the salesperson was dismissive, stating we were "thousands apart." Furthermore, they would only value my CVO based on wholesale auction numbers, offering the classic "we are too far apart" line. If they want to rely on auction numbers, they should just take their own used bikes to the auction and see what they bring. Save yourself the frustration and take your business to regional dealers like Yeager's, Pig Trail, or Smokey Mountain instead--places actually ready to earn your business and offer a fair shake. Years ago I bought a 2009 cvo springer from them and they were great to deal with. I've not had any luck with them since. Definitely better customer service under mid America than under HeadsBlacktop. read more

The Motorclothes Department was fabulous! I had a blast visiting with the Ladies working today. They helped me find a couple outfits for my extended stay in town. Everyone I talked to was helpful! read more

Great selection of bikes and plenty of mechanics on payroll during their open hours. This is now: Black Top Harley Davidson now by the way. Large showroom with plenty of options for wear, gear, novelties, and Knick knacks. Place even has a comfy break area with vending machines, cable tv, and at times: complimentary food. However, the buying process isn't easy here as they work with few lenders. They're also unwilling to come down on prices even when it's justified and don't expect them to give you fair value for your trade-in. Lots of public events and get together....but just check your expectations at the door. read more

Marked up pricing and some of worst unfriendly/unknowledgeble customer service I've ever experienced at an HD dealership and I've been to many across North America. The food doesn't really make up for wasted time. I miss MID-AMERICA HARLEY DAVIDSON, blacktop harley is not even a close comparison. If you need to stop I'd go on to Outlaw Harley Davidson or lake of the ozarks. read more

As being an ex employee, knowing they don't give employees commissions that they deserve and they put them on other employees names like Chuck McKenna I would never recommend this dealership for anybody to do business with if they do shady things like that to their employees what do you think they do to the people buying motorcycle motorcycles? read more

My husband and I have a thing of hitting every Harley and casino we can on our road trips. Mid America was top on my list! It was a must see. The store itself was very clean and the staff was very friendly. It was a little unorganized from what I'm used to, but I believe that's because a larger sale was going on as new spring merchandise was coming in. Nothing to knock stars off or complain about, just speaking from my experience. We bought a couple of T-shirt's while we were there. I run a travel blog, so I planned on featuring these guys on it. I only say that because I have one disappointment. The day we went was right after a big poker run. So sadly they were out of poker chips. I always buy three from every Harley we venture to. One for our collection, one for our youngest who collects, and one for our granddaughter who we've started a collection for. I've reached out since then trying to find out how I can go about getting some and I've received no response. I'd love to have them since we've visited, but it seems to be impossible to get my hands on them. Other than that, everything else was good! read more

Mid America Harley-Davidson - Motorcycle Dealers Near Me - Columbia, Missouri

Love it here, feels like family every time I'm here and the events held are awesome. Great experiences all around

Have you had the best motorcycle buying experience in the past? If not you need to come to MAHD and talk to Chris Ash. The whole process was customer focused, engaging and transparent. Chris's knowledge of the bikes, options and approach to the buying/trading process was outstanding. We will definitely buy from Chris Ash at MAHD again! read more

These guys are the shadiest salesmen I've ever seen, they'll lie all day and refuse to give you a direct answer on a loan amount then try to scam you into a loan for 50% over the sticker price. Don't under any circumstances trust this shady dealership read more

An awesome holiday with dealership. A decent selection of bikes and Harley swag and the staff was very friendly. The lounge is fantastic and this place has probably the best military discount I have seen. They have a bike night almost every week that is a pleasure to be a part of. read more

GREAT PEOPLE! The staff is helpful and knowledgable. I highly recommend them for your HD needs.

They need to rename their "service" department (or re-sign it with a circle and slash over it). I had a very basic need. Not urgent but vital. I'm on the road (hello! we are supposed to ride them aren't we?). I called ONE WEEK AHEAD! For: service and 2 tires. Basic stuff for a guy on the road. For "Thursday next week." Their simple flat-out answer (without explanation): Nope. Not gonna happen. Oh how far this brand has fallen. Very sad to see. read more

We drove 2 hours to look at motorcycles after getting a few attitudes and no bike with some other dealers. we went to Mid-America where we met Ken who was a great help. He listened to everything important. After picking the bike out Ken and Patrick was all over the paper work. The experience was a great one. Especially for pur first Harley!!! read more

Walked in on a Sunday and within a hour I got a awesome deal on a new 2021 street glide! Austin and Pete even made the shopping experience fun for my two boys. Been back to the store twice for helmets and gear. Same experience! read more

This dealership is absolutely wonderful place to have repairs or maintenance done to your bike. With traveling across the country these guys will take the time to answer anything or look at your bike and fix the problem in a timely manner. And I will give a shout out to their salesman Galen!!! l could not ask for a better sales representative and yes I did purchase a Triglide from him three years ago. read more

Awful place to shop, for bikes or Harley.swag. Uncaring staff who wouldn't even let me return a Christmas present thst was too small and I wanted to trade it for the next size bigger. They said I was "too late". I still had the receipt and just wanted trade for a bigger size. I can't imagine buying s bike there! read more

Terrible customer service, dishonest and unprofessional. Went in to buy a specific motorcycle and they tried to sell me every other bike in the building as I waited for financing. They told me a price that I agreed to pay. I then found out from the bank that they were running a loan nearly twice as much for the bike than I agreed on. I waited about 8 hours all together to find this out. I didn't go there to get approved for a new motorcycle. I will never spend a dime at this dealer again. read more

This review page should give you an idea of how they operate. Glory and praise to all that give the a good review, nothing, not a word to anyone that had a bad experience. The same is true with doing business with them. read more

They claim to be knowledgeable about all of their products but when I had very basic technological questions about an audio system that they carry, they couldn't answer them and asked me to come into the store to read the manual that comes with the system. What kind of service is that!? read more

Update on this review supposedly a representative from a new owner called me a couple weeks ago I told them my story of how they damage my bike and then charge me for the damage. As my review is easily readable on their Facebook page. She said somebody would call me and try to make it right with me and give me back as a customer two weeks later not a soul has called me thereby letting me know the management of this facility may have changed their attitude for customer service remains very poor. I would highly recommend before going in this establishment you look at all other available options. read more

This place rocks thanks Kim great prices very friendly fun and clean place clean friendly fun bikes rock come see them here ASAP

Service department is crap. Do not go here for service. Dropped my Roadglide off On Sunday for Dyno tuning. 2 bikes ahead of me no big deal. Call on Wednesday they tell me it's next on deck. Be done Thursday. Here it is Friday at 3 and it's literally sitting where I parked it. I'm done with this place. If you want good honest service take your bike to Lebanon Harley Davidson. Unless your looking for a t shirt I wouldn't go here. read more

I just wanted to send a big thank you to the crew at Mid America Harley Davidson in Columbia MO. I traveled 12 hours from Texas to Missouri for a motorcycle ride and had problems with my bike. I took it to Mid America Harley and the crew there were nothing short of awesome. Wes and Nathan in the Service Department went above and beyond to stay in contact with me and the local Harley in Texas to diagnose the problems with the bike. They made sure the bike was safe for me to drive back. One of my bags was stolen in Oklahoma and Patrick in sales made sure I had a loaner bag so I can go on the ride I was coming up for. Never experienced such hometown service, I felt like I was part of the Harley Family, These guys know what customer service is, and when I plan to purchase another bike I will be taking the trip to Mid America Harley to do so. This place is worth the stop if you are passing through or looking for your first bike. My trip from Hell ended amazing cause of Mid America Harley read more

I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this location. I have heard horror stories from this place before but never experienced anything bad. Until my key to my bike fell out of the ignition while I was riding down the road (I have an 04 V-rod and it has a feature that allows you to start the bike and then remove the key. Why this feature exists I don't know but it was my own fault the key fell out because i didn't turn the key far enough in the ignition to lock it in). When I went to Harley to see if I could purchase a key from them they told me I needed the VIN and a physical copy of ownership (title or registration) and said a picture wouldn't work. I don't carry my title with me when I ride, but I did have my registration locked underneath my seat. When I asked if they could unlock my seat so I could show them my registration they said "nope" and immediately started talking to other employees and shrugged me off. I will never be go to this dealership for anything and damn sure won't be looking for a bike from here. There are far better motorcycle dealers in Columbia like YC motorsports and Head Motor Company (they sell Indians and have a large selection of Harley as well). Both places provide much better customer service than Mid-America HD. It showed me that Mid-America HD only cares about making money and doesn't care about helping customers at all. I purchased my bike from YC and after calling them to see if they might be able to help they pointed me towards a locksmith that is extremely helpful and has great customer service. Mid-America HD didn't even try to act like they wanted to help. I would suggest that everyone buy their bikes and parts from any other place besides this HD location. read more

The mantience guys ride the hell out of the customers bikes. The mechanics can't inspect the bikes correctly. Wouldnt take my bike their for them to fix at all. I would rather go somewhere else. Labor cost is to high. They are losing their customer base. They have gone down since changing employees and management. read more

I recently bought my second Harley from Mid America. The process was smooth. Galin Frye sold me both bikes and he is fantastic to work with. The parts department walked me thru some ideas for upgrades but were never pushy. I've had my bikes serviced there as well and they are also very good to deal with. I really enjoy that the owners have their family working inside the dealership. I think it adds to the feel. read more

Not Veteran Friendly or Supportive of Veteran Non-Profit Groups. Considering the number of veterans I know who have purchased nearly $150 thousand plus in motorcycles from this dealership, I was rather surprised that they would only donate two t-shirts to our upcoming all-veteran Poker Run. I was thinking about buying my first motorcycle here, but I would rather buy from BMW at this point. Several years ago my ladies group donated over 400 american flags and paid for the gas for over 400 riders for the "Run For The Wall" riders passing through in 2008, yet this dealership can only afford a couple of t-shirts? Screw that. read more

Last Saturday the 20th i was coming into Columbia and saw your bill boards about your bike show this week end the 27th.I stoped by your dealer ship for more information .Talked to a sales person asked what timeyou could enter a bike in the bike show, he said he did not know but we open at 9:00,asked more questions he was unable to answer about your MILLION DOLLAR BIKE SHOW.I went up to your front , asked the girls about the show, they said there is a flyer around here some where, all it had on it was the date . At least they got on the phone and answered more of my questions but could not answer all .One question was are you going to have aVintage Class, answer we will have a Custom Class. I walked out.I thought big bike show people dont know ----. So i wated till Thursday to call thinking someone might have all the answers,I was wrong. But Idid get more of my questions answered, and to call back and talk with Amy.I called back later in the afternoon asked for Amy, was put on hold for at least 10 min. the girl comes back on the line and says Amy is kind of busy,I told her to forget it Ihad been trying to get information from you guys since last weekend.I am kind of busy to,I just spent 10 min. of my 15min. brake on hold. You might ask what are the questions. #1what time can you enter the bike show? #2 what time does the show start and end? #3 what does it cost to enter the show ? #4 how many classes? #5 is there a Vintage class? #6 are there prizes for the winners of each class? I would think but Icould be wrong , putting on a so called MILLION DOLLAR BIKE SHOW , your employes could answer these questions. Husband I bought an Ultra Classic from this dealership about 8-10yrs ago. The bike got totaled, and we went to purchase another one about 2yrs ago from them. It was a Sat afternoon. Found a salesman, found a bike, dealt with a sales manager due to the fact the finance person had been allowed to leave early for band practice on a Saturday afternoon with a store full of people. The sales manager informs us of our interest rate an payment amount. We agree on it. The sales manager leans across the desk, looks my husband in the eyes an says, "I'm gonna shake ur hand, that we are going to agree this is the deal, and u can come back on Tue to do the paperwork, since we have no finance person here. My husband shook his hand. The manager put a sold tag on the bike. We came back on Tue when the finance person apparently did not have band practice. We sit down at his desk, and I'll be damned if he didn't try to tell us we agreed to dbl the interest rate and a much higher payment. I told him this was incorrect, I pointed out the manager we had worked with on Sat to him, he went an spoke to the manager, came back and told us that was all they cld do for us. I reminded him we were return customers with a manager who had developed this deal with us on Sat. He said that was all he cld do for us. We left after I told him we wld never buy another bike there again, and I wld tell all the bikers we know how they tried to scam us. So, DONT buy from Mid America Harley!! Try the Lake Ozarks or Lebanon. MAHD does NOT stick to their word! read more
