I didn't know exactly what a wedding planner did or if I needed one. Trust me you need a wedding planner especially Ashley! My husband and I refer to her as our angel, she made every stressful moment melt away. Ashley basically choreographs the evening from beginning to end, she makes sure everything gets delivered on time, staff is present, wedding favors, decorations, guestbook, polaroid cameras everything is accounted for. She makes sure the place settings are perfect that all name tags are in the right spot at the right table, that my husband and I are comfortable the entire night and that guests have everything they need. What doesn't she do? She starts planning with you months in advance, she gave us a timeline with due dates so we knew what we needed to be accountable for, I loved this. On your wedding day she is the first one there and the last one to leave making sure everything gets broken down swept up and left cleaner than you found it. I was so nervous the day of my wedding I forgot to bring my vows she had them printed on site. She was available at all times throughout the planning process. I was late in the game to find a dress and she came with me so I didn't have to go alone. We were in the heart of Brooklyn running around in the rain and we found my dream dress. I can't say enough great things about her, she is just a real down to earth hard working woman who is smart, sweet, and the kind of person you want to have at your side when you want your day to be perfect. She is very organized, has a great understanding of where to go based on the style of dress you're looking for, has great recommendations for veils, flowers, music, photography, really anything you need. A few times I was worried about sticking within my budget and she was very helpful to research with me in order to stick to that. Our wedding was non-traditional and she was perfectly in line with whatever we wanted to do. She encouraged us to make the day 100% about us, which really helped in the decision making process. After all was said and done I gained a friend from the whole experience. Most vendors we met that day sent out a standard, automated e-mail to everyone who left their address on their clipboard. Tracey, however, took the time out to send a personalized e-mail. She remembered that we were hoping to have our reception at 501 Union, but knew that we were having difficulty securing a date at our church. She wished us luck in meeting with the church and told us to feel free to contact her once we had a date and venue settled. That attention to detail was what I wanted in a wedding planner. I made sure once we had the church and venue squared away that we book Tracey. She was very cool and low pressure in our initial meeting, which I appreciated. A wedding is stressful enough that you don't want to have someone aggressively pushing their services, adding additional pressure and stress on you. Without any hesitation we booked her for month of coordination. Her cool demeanor was maintained throughout the whole process which was such a relief. I could have been a nervous wreck with all the details that go in to a wedding. I wasn't thanks to Tracey. From the first meeting she was great with recommending vendors. I was stumped when it came to transportation and makeup. We ended up booking her recommended vendors and they were amazing! I had so many ideas for the wedding that I was in love with, but not the slightest clue how to execute them. Tracey and Allie were key players in this aspect. I would share an idea with Tracey and she came up with a plan on how to execute it. Everything exceeded my expectations. From our guest book to favors, to lists of activities to occupy our guests in between the ceremony and reception, she had a solution for all of it! Otherwise, I was going to have to stick with the venue's gray curtains. I knew that I wanted a very soft fairy-lit backdrop and got the inspiration from a Hong Kong celebrity's wedding pictures. I reached out to a couple of backdrop vendors asking if they could replicate the celebrity's backdrop. Adelisa was one of the few who said yes. She was very responsive, and her pricing was within my budget. I decided to go with her. She was very specific about the time needed for set up and breakdown, which all worked out. I was ecstatic when I first stepped into the reception room and saw how nicely it came together. I was truly in awe of her team's work. It wasn't exactly like the celebrity's backdrop, but it was pretty close and even better. It looked so nice in person and pictures, and I liked how it gave that whimsical effect! If you're interested in the same backdrop, show her these pictures and tell her this was the description she put down: solid base layer, fairy-lit layer, sheer layer, and secondary sheer layer all done in ivory color with warm white lighting. The backdrop was 20 ft wide, but I think it would've looked even nicer if it was taller and wider, though it wasn't possible with the venue space. I know Adelisa Decor doesn't have many reviews, and I was skeptical at first too, but they're truly amazing. They even wanted to meet each other in person at the venue when it was time to sign the contract. Sadly, I had no time to do that, so I just did everything virtually and only met them on the day of the reception.

Natalie Trento did an outstanding job as our wedding planner. We were recently married on a small…read moreisland off the coast of Maine. We had 150 guests who had to be transported to the island and back via passenger ferry, as well as up and down a relatively car-less island. She did a wonderful job navigating an incredible web of logistics and got everyone where they needed to be. Beyond moving people, she orchestrated the construction of our entire wedding site. We were married in the church on the island (which had beautiful flower arrangements that she created), and the reception was in an open field. She oversaw the assembly of a sail-tent, tables, chairs, dance floor installation, etc. Every item for the wedding had to be brought over on a barge - catering equipment, napkins, vases, spoons, etc. Natalie gracefully negotiated with our numerous wedding vendors to secure fair prices and great service. She also developed the aesthetics for the event - making beautiful flower arrangements and table design. It was an incredible day. We were very impressed, and give our highest recommendation to this rising star in the world of wedding and event planning. If she can pull off an elegant wedding for 150, from the dirt up, on a remote island in Maine, she can do anything. Thank you Natalie Trento Events for giving us the wedding of a lifetime! In addition to amazing week/day-of support, Natalie provided countless hours of work over the course of the year preceeding the wedding.
