I called and when someone finally answered, I asked to speak to someone in the picture framing dept...the gentleman said he could help and what did I need. I asked the price of full sheets of matboard...of course he didn't actually work in that dept and didn't know but said he would 'walk back there and see' I then asked what the charge was to 'cut' a mat..his answer 'Oh 5 or 10 dollars'...I said WHICH...guessed it would be at least 5...then I asked 'IN GENERAL what is a less busy time for that dept' He said AFTER THE HOLIDAYS'.. what an AWFUL representative for the business...I won't be going there...as they say, I will 'drive on by' Good luck to Michaels with that man as an employee! read more

I got a $5 coupon in my email for this store so I decided to go in and check it out. I was looking specifically for yarn tags and yarn. There were no tags that I could find and they yarn section was very small. The sale that was advertised for yarn was a good one but sadly that specific yarn was picked over. The store had plenty of other crafts to offer. The shelves were neat and the store itself was bright and spacious. There was plenty of parking around the store located in a plaza. read more

Amazing customer service - every visit!! Employees here have always been courteous (e.g. custom framing, checkout, help around the store), but today the manager, Laura, went above and beyond with her helpfulness and efficiency on my return; as such, I am compelled to leave the 5-star review for everyone to know!! Sometimes the selection is limited because we are in small town Clarksville, but the consistent, positive shopping experience will maintain my loyalty. Kudos to Michaels Clarksville!! We went in around December 18th (give or take a few days) . Looking to get a mat frame cut for us, or to help us frame a photo. We're standing back by the section to get help. And waiting... and waiting. We can clearly see the employee back there just hanging out on her phone, tying her shoes, and to be honest we weren't sure if she was on her break or not because she was sitting down doing nothing. FINALLY after a good 15+ mins she just hollers to us "do you need help" .. doesn't come up or approach us. Nothing. Literally yells to us from the little room. We say we have some questions, and she has to come out and talk to us, because shocker she can't hear us. We ask questions about getting the Mat boards cut, she says is a simple process and if she has it in stock she can cut it. We show her the one we wanted and then she tells it's a 2 day or more so turn around. (Which i won't lie. I was little shocked when my sister straight up said this) "2 days? You're literally back there doing nothing" .... So the employee then proceeded to tells us, "oh I was on the phone with my husband, I have a lot of orders to get caught up on" We don't care about that. We're just looking to get a board cut into a rectangle. So we left. Went to hobby lobby. Got exactly what we needed with no wait time and $5 less. I would give a 1 star review on the employee, but honestly I still shop at the store and I'm not going to base my 1 crappy experience with my whole review. Because there is still a lot of amazing other helpful employees in there. read more

This is not your ordinary Michaels Craft Store. Everyone is very good at doing their job. Let's just say that they weren't hired just to earn a pay check, everyone knows what the word craft means. There is not one misplaced item in the store. Michaels is very neat, very good at cleaning the store, and helping you with whatever you need done. One of the best things is that there is never something you find that is not on sale! Go here before Hobby Lobby! I would recommend this store to anyone who needs to craft. read more

They were here once before only difference is they moved next door from where they were the last time. The store is very nice but the help isn't helpful at all. My husband and I were in there the other day and 3 people walked past me seeing I was looking for something and not ONE asked if they could help me find what I was looking for. (They must be ex Walmart employees cause their not helpful either) FINALLY I got the tall older woman's attention who wears glasses and told her what I was looking for. She takes me over to show me something that isn't even close to what I was describing. Finally as we were bout to leave I found what I was looking for and I took it and showed it to her and all she done was looked at me. I think they really need to learn what they are selling in the store. They walk around like they are really doing something just t make themselves look busy. I honestly see Jo Ann's putting them out. Michael's didn't make it there before I don't see them making it again. Plus there's Hobby Lobby too which is even nice. read more
