During the past five years, I've noticed a clear shift in how the firm operates--communication has declined, staff turnover has increased, and overall service quality has dropped. After paying nearly $1,800 upfront for my 2025 business and personal tax returns, I experienced over a month of delays with little to no clear communication. Despite multiple follow-ups, I was repeatedly asked for information I had already provided, which showed a lack of internal coordination. On top of that, I was asked to sign an engagement letter late in the process, which was not properly delivered or explained. As a client of nearly 10 years, it made no sense to receive a generic engagement letter outlining services I've long been familiar with. There also appears to be a high turnover of staff. I was reassigned multiple times, and each new person seemed unfamiliar with my account, leading to redundant questions and confusion about my LLC structure. It felt like I had to restart the process repeatedly. It's also extremely difficult to get George Dimov on the phone, and emails often go unanswered. At this point, he comes across as an absentee owner, with much of the work seemingly outsourced to staff abroad who are not aligned or familiar with long-term clients. For a firm handling time-sensitive financial matters, that level of disconnect is frustrating. Even more concerning, there was a separate incident involving a former employee, Bob Liu, who went rogue and took client information, including mine. He processed one of my tax returns independently, and to this day I have never received a copy of that return. I had to notify George myself, as he was not aware of the situation. This directly impacted me by delaying a construction loan process I was pursuing with a bank. Most recently, after having over three months to prepare my returns, the firm still filed my tax return incorrectly. That was the final straw for me, and I ultimately decided to terminate my relationship with them. I also ended my payroll services with them. Despite paying $100 per month automatically for 38 months, they claimed I owed an "outstanding balance of $5,700 for 38 months of services." This was completely false, as I have proof of every payment. This situation highlights the disorganization of the firm and the constant turnover of staff who clearly are not aligned or aware of long-term client accounts. Overall, I can no longer recommend this firm, especially for clients with multiple entities or complex tax situations. P.S. The reviews here feel misleading. I've noticed that the owner is quick to respond publicly to reviews, yet does not follow up with his actual clients. If you're considering working with this firm, feel free to reach out to me--I'd be happy to discuss my experience further and share supporting documentation. As a result of the delays and mishandling of my account, I was also charged a late-filing penalty by the IRS.

Unfortunately, we surmised that as the calculations were quite basic in nature and that no audit confirmation was necessary, we could use a smaller, local firm. We contacted the firm EisnerAmper LLP in Sacramento, California. In our initial contact we spoke with the Managing Director Ms. Jolene Fraser. We made it very clear to Ms Fraser that we only required unaudited estimates and did not require her to "stand behind" the figures. She acknowledged that Eisner Amper LLP could readily fulfill our request and requested our documents and a $7,500 retainer. We had slight apprehension when she required such a large retainer, because our retired KPMG accountant had advised us that what we wanted would only take an accountant only several hours to complete. We immediately sent off consolidated sales statements and the retainer....and we never heard from Jolene Fraser again. Over a month later, we contacted EisnerAmper LLP and inquired the status of our estimates. Ms Fraser, rather than contact me, called our company attorney and advised that her firm could not comply with my request and only was willing to do a "full blown" (their words) financial audit. This audit they were speaking of would go back 10 years and entail reports not requested or needed by us. Furthermore, the cost would be well over the retainer amount. We immediately emailed Ms Fraser and terminated EisnerAmper LLP. We asked for our retainer to be returned along with our documents. A month went by with nothing causing us to have to contact Eisner Amper LLP again asking for our company documents and retainer to be returned. After two more weeks our documents arrived apparently untouched, in the same order and condition submitted. We had to contact EisnerAmper LLP a third time asking why our retainer was not included with the documents. MS. Fraser would not get on the phone and her assistant "Mikayla" advised that due to Covid 19 our check would be delayed? We waited several weeks with no refund and finally contacted EisnerAmper LLPs headquarters in New York. We spoke with the partner over the western U.S. who advised us he would look into the matter. Several weeks later we finally received a check from EisnerAmper LLP but it had a large deduction. We reached out to the partner and he advised he would look into the matter. We requested an itemized invoice as to the deductions and what was done? We also asked for any work product that was completed. To this day we have received nothing. Can you imagine an accounting firm that does not give an accounting of what they charge? In closing, EisnerAmper LLP duped us. They originally claimed they could do what we specifically requested, then once they received our retainer they backtracked and claimed they couldn't do it. We ended up with nothing but a 3 month delay in our project. Our experience with EsinerAmper LLP was a frustrating and expensive lesson.

I file 2 different returns yearly & I work with a different person for each; they are both reliable & knowledgeable. My main person is personable & always remembers me, we chat about our families, etc. And she points things out about my taxes I would've never caught on my own, maximizing my returns. The other person is not as social with me but he gets the job done. I DO have to add that I recommend going as early in the year as you can...one year I went early but we were waiting for a couple of additional outside docs prior to filing & I let time go until close to the deadline, then I had to chase them down. And yes, response time isn't as prompt as you'd want it to be in those last several days prior to deadline because they are dealing with everyone else who waited until the last several days. (I did end up in their offices that last day, w/ a bunch of other not-thrilled looking people. My people did a great job once I saw them though. But yeah, not going to do that ever again!) But if make an appointment for say sometime in March, & have all your docs ready, things should go swimmingly.

After a few weeks past, I didn't hear back from him and then I called the office. The receptionist, who picked up my call, sounded clueless. She asked me to spell my name at least 5 times and I felt that she was very annoyed with my long last name. I asked her to let Leon know to reply my call or email. However, I never got the response. A week later, I decided to switch the attorney and then finally I heard back from Leon. And he added some statements in the drafted settlement document from the opponent attorney, which didn't apply anymore. It costed me almost $1000. I am very disappointed that a almost 5 star attorney on Yelp provided a 1 star service to me. The divorce process was already depressing and this didn't help at all.
