From our first consultation with Melissa, through every call and email, we immediately felt at ease knowing she was by our side. Melissa truly made the wedding planning process so much easier. She was incredibly responsive and always had an answer to my many questions in the months leading up to the wedding. I never felt like I was bothering her or asking too much, and knowing we had someone experienced and dependable to turn to made such a difference. On the wedding day, Melissa and her assistant coordinator, Elena, made sure everything went according to plan. My husband and I felt completely stress-free that morning because we knew Melissa and her team had everything under control. Melissa works frequently at The Scripps Seaside Forum in La Jolla, and she knows this beautiful venue inside and out. Her experience there really shows in how smoothly everything comes together. I also have to mention her vendor recommendations. Everyone she brings onto her team is wonderful--professional, talented, and simply the best at what they do. We found Amy online and had an initial phone call consult and that was pretty much all we needed. When we first met Amy, I knew she was the one to get it done. She's straight forward, very direct(which I love), extremely responsive(trust me, my then fiance hit her up constantly and she was ALWAYS so responsive and patient), she is extremely professional, and she just gets SHT DONE! Every step of the way, she was there for us. She kept us calm, minimized our stress levels and gave us the confidence that our day was going to be a success. She made several trips down to Mexico to deal with the different vendors and always gave much needed guidance and advice. Come to our wedding day, all of her and my wife's work came to fruition. The wedding and reception ran timely and smoothly. The buffet dinner offered a variety of options and everything was tasty! There were plenty of seats and tables to ensure every guest had a place to hang out before and after the formal dinner. Heat lamps and tabletop fire pits were set up throughout the venue in the evening. What I did notice was how great and attentive the staff were in every aspect - at the bar, passing hors d'oeuvres, buffet dinner, photobooth. I really appreciated a female staff member notice who wasn't drinking alcohol and provided apple cider so they can participate in toasts! A staff member was also stationed by the main entrance which I'd assume is to prevent party crashers and ensure guests aren't walking out with alcohol (they thought my water was alcohol). The only downside of this gorgeous venue is the parking situation. We parked in a paid parking garage at the Morgan Stanley building for $25. It is a 0.2 mile walk to the venue.

Since I'm not local to the San Diego area and didn't always have a clear vision of exactly what I wanted, Gina's recommendations and guidance were invaluable. I'd give her 100 stars if I could! I first came across her services back in 2014 when I scheduled an appointment at Nordstroms for a stylist. I needed very professional wear but absolutely hate clothes shopping. And my sister, who is so good at shopping, was living hundreds of miles away. I didn't realize what a great stylist she was until the following year when I scheduled with a different stylist and received such awful service I had to write the manager of Nordstroms about it. For instance, she was shopping for herself a new pair of shoes while I was trying on clothes! I had to go hunt her down and found her in the shoe department! Anyway, I've since hired Catherine for her services each year to help me add fresh pieces into my wardrobe. What I really like about her is that if you say you don't like something, she doesn't try and goad you into getting it anyway. She makes a mental note and won't use those styles or colors for future outfits. She understands style and also fits with what your personal style and tastes are. She's incredible to work with and I will continue to hire her with confidence to help me with putting my wardrobe together and/or when I need new pieces. She's also cognizant of budgets and will take photos of ideas for you so you can find cheaper versions of the look. I also love her non-judgemental and positive attitude! She won't let you talk shit about yourself!

Catherine helped us plan our wedding in May 2017…read more The Venue recommended Catherine to us and we're so glad they did. We dreamed of a non-conventional wedding and had a vision of the wedding but didn't really know how to bring it to life. We live in Orange County and selecting a wedding venue in La Jolla an hour and a half away only added to the uneasiness. We needed someone connected to all types of vendors in San Diego who could coordinate and bring together our vision. She did exactly that! Catherine is a good mix of excitement, sweetness and structure. She will tell you what she thinks and whether something will work or not which is what we wanted. We didn't want someone to say yes to every floating idea we had but rather take all our ideas and create the vision. She took calls with us mid-day to answer our questions, replied to emails promptly, connected us with the vendors we were looking for, coordinated payments, she did it all! The thing I'm most grateful of is her poise on our wedding day. The unthinkable happened on our wedding day.....It Rained! Everything was getting rained on outside, the vendor was thinking of pulling her items from the outdoor engagement and setting up in a back-room instead , and some how/some way Catherine convinced her to wait for the rain to pass, calmed her down and set-up the decor again right before the cocktail hour. It was really amazing and everything turned out perfect, thanks to her cool composure.

I am so impressed by Christine and her team. My husband and I were engaged for over a year and Gabriela took care of us in the beginning from getting a vision board together, a color palette selected, and an overall concept/theme put together. They recommended different vendors and were realist about setting a budget. I originally found their online aisle planner website difficult and hard to navigate at first and learned to really appreciate it down the road. It wasn't that it was hard to navigate more than I didn't take the time to explore all the different features. It was a life saver for me and later turned into my wedding bible because it housed all my vendor information, payment schedules, important dates, seating chart, checklists, and more. Fast forward to the month before the wedding. Christine was amazing and set up all our final vendor meetings, etc. she made sure all the vendors talked to each other and coordinated everything with the hotel. She took care of all the vendor logistics, COI, etc. Which at the time, I didn't realize was a lot. She was crucial in selecting our decor and creating the timeline. The day of the wedding comes and Christine was there bright and early setting everything up. We had an attendant, Tiffany, assigned to the bridesmaids, another one dedicated to the groomsmen, Christine setting up in the reception hall, and later, Diana, a runner and they all were amazing! They were there the entire time of us getting ready and making sure we could connect with Christine as she handled the vendors coming in. They made sure we were taken care of, checked in, and never left. Diana was also a life saver and had my shoes ready for me to change into after all the photos. I could go on for days and never capture how much Christine and her team truly helped us. They helped set up, tear down, managed my family and guests, managed all the vendors, and handled all the melt downs. They were the absolute best hire! I am truly impressed and am forever grateful to Christine and her team. I 100% recommend Lavish & Co. for any wedding. They were truly amazing and went above and beyond, exceeded all expectations. My husband and I are not the easiest people and I know that. But, Christine and her team were so gracious and accommodating throughout the whole process. I have no complaints. Thank you Lavish for making my wedding a beautiful dream come true!

From the…read moremoment we met Gabriela, it was clear that she wasn't just a wedding planner--she was someone deeply invested in making our wedding day a reflection of us as a couple. She took the time during our very first meeting to ask about our personal story--how we met, how my husband proposed, and what made our relationship unique. This was something no other planner had done, and it immediately made us feel like we were in the hands of someone who truly cared. She has become more than just a wedding planner, and is now one of our friends. Our wedding was a beautiful blend of two distinct cultures, and Lavish went above and beyond to ensure that every detail honored both of our traditions in a way that felt seamless and cohesive. Gabriela found creative ways to incorporate elements of each culture into the decor, ceremony, and reception, making our celebration not just special, but incredibly personal. Her thoughtful approach to merging these cultural elements was absolutely perfect, and we were so grateful for the care she took to ensure everything felt authentic and meaningful. On top of all that, the Lavish team was incredibly attentive to every last detail. There were a few last-minute challenges on the day of the wedding, and they handled them with such grace and professionalism that we didn't have to worry about a thing. If you're looking for a wedding planning team who will go above and beyond to make your day as special as it can be, look no further than Lavish.
