The kicker is right in the initial interview it states she had thoughts of suicide, harming others, panic attacks . We were never notified. On her assessment where 70 was significant she scored 75 on depression, and 101 on suicidal ideation. We only found out when we got the report after she was dead.

My husband called several times for an update and was told several times that they would look into it and call him back. They did not. I finally called to see what the status was and was told by the receptionist that they were still waiting on the insurance and that if I wanted to go somewhere else, they would understand. At that point, I asked to speak to a supervisor, and after a 7-minute wait, Ms. Desiree Figueroa came on the line and asked for my son's date of birth. I gave it to her, and she informed me that she could not give me any information because my son did not add me as an authorized person. I told her that I was only inquiring about the phone calls that were supposed to be made to my husband, who is authorized. My husband called and finally spoke to Ms. Figueroa and was told that there were no notes on my son's chart. This place is not concerned about mental health or wellness, as they also told me they were not a Crisis Center when I was trying to express the urgency for an appointment. In this day and age, where we are seeing more mental health issues within this great country, it seems like we are more concerned about monetary benefits than the health and well-being of others. And it's institutions like this that pose as a place of refuge and hope that continue to fail our youth and our overall communities. Do your research and due diligence when seeking help. This is not the place.

By the time we left in April we were able to apply what we learn from her in real life situation without guidance and mind you we felt we could do it alone as she gladly would of continue to work with us. Without her who knows what condition we would be as a couple and are glad we were able to discover our love languages which is key. I would love to thank her for saving not only our marriage but for making us better partners for each other and would gladly come back if we felt the need of her help! If you are hesitant or feel like you are both a step or two from dissolving your marriage please give her a try as you have nothing to lose but please note you must both want to put in the work because without that there is no point. She also is fairly flexible with times as my husband's schedule was quite different than mine. Good luck and hope she was as helpful as she was to us.
