Support staff is amazing and friendly, Dr. Jeffrey Frank however leaves A LOT to be desired. He is…read morea tiny little man with a big ego who will cut you off while you are talking and always has to have the last word. They have a sign above their printer that says patients aren't a hassle, they're the reason you're there, but he has obviously never embraced that motto. I gave him the benefit of the doubt several times because he told me that there were only two neurologists in town that specialized in migraines (LIE) and that the other was his partner and that their schedules were both equally crazy. I've since looked and that isn't even his specialty on their website (which is psychology) and I've found others that specialize in migraines in Louisville. Furthermore I got to a really low point in my life back in March of 2017 after years of living with massive migraines that controlled my life and told him I had been suicidal, that I couldn't afford his expensive treatments and came to him with research on different therapies and drugs I wanted to discuss and/or try to get away from the pain. That I needed hope or I was quite frankly going to give up, that I even had a plan in place to do so. He was the first medical professional I admitted this to and thankfully not the last. This little man sat across from me COLD while I sobbed and told me that expensive Botox that would cost me $1000 out of pocket was the only answer. I told him I literally couldn't come up with it even working two jobs. He wouldn't listen and signed me up for it anyway. That was on a Friday. The following Monday I got a voicemail while at work with a message to show up at a hospital for Botox in three weeks. Seriously? I called back and left a voicemail that I couldn't afford it. 3 weeks later hospital calls to go over my pre-auth stuff for the next morning, again, seriously? I happen to catch a human that time and said cancel it!! They proceeded to call me back the following three weeks every week to reschedule until I finally went livid on someone (and apologized immediately-still feel bad about it). My father is a psychiatrist in Oregon and I've talked to him about this man, it absolutely blows my mind how unprofessional he is. I'm a medical professional myself and it irritates the snot out of me when people say we're in it for the money, but this guy doesn't care about his patients, so its hard to see what his motivation would be. I went back to fire him in person. I wanted to stand up directly to this man who kicked me while I was down even though I really didn't actually WANT to see him. I was late by five minutes due to some issues in the parking garage with an elderly woman being handled by people. They checked me in, took my money, got my vitals, saw my blood pressure was normal if not a little low, and then the receptionist comes in and grabs the nurse and ten minutes later she comes in with "This isn't personal, but because you were 5 minutes late, he's rescheduling you." Right, not personal. Well, for me it was...six months before. I told them I didn't actually really need to see him I could leave a note for him with an update because I had something to say and they could take my money and we could call it even, but they refused, refunded my money and rescheduled my appt for 3 months later telling me how important my progress appts with him were. Um, yeah, I cancelled that. Records being requested and with any luck I'll never bump into Napoleon again. My migraines are now 40% better and still improving thanks to alternative therapies that don't include his Botox or any additional meds, what's sad is that at the time I would've settled for far less and stayed a patient there.
