Michael was hired at an event I photographed for. He arrived early to set up the stage. When I arrived, he approached me to introduce himself. He was extremely friendly. Before his main show, he went from table to table doing a variety of card tricks and sleight of hand tricks. I was walking around taking photos, but it looked like the guests were really enjoying his magic. They were laughing and looked very surprised by what he was doing. He then did his main act which included a variety of envelope tricks, drawing tricks, and magically guessing numbers that someone else chose from a phone book. Magic Michael saved my marriage! My partner Allison and I weren't having the best of nights when we watched him perform for a group of our friends at a New Year's party. As luck would have it (or he read our minds most likely), Michael selected Allison and me to take part in a what started out as a simple enough card trick. It became so much more as he made us both laugh and squirm and ultimately believe in something greater than ourselves as the cards that we had signed ended up back to back together as one.
